She said as she continued to walk down the hall. Sarah finally came to a stop and opened the door to a room which she gestured for me to enter. A small round table sat in the middle of the room with only two chairs. Sarah shut the door behind me and I looked around the room at the books that lined the walls. The room reminded me more of a study than it did of a dining room. I ran my finger down a line of books reading the title of each. Most books were those of witch craft which leads me to believe that Master was a warlock unless he just found the books fascinating.

Sarael displayed a few knick-knacks on a shelf with her book collection. Her books were the most interesting thing she had. She had a large assortment. I can tell she’s read a few romance novels plenty of times, given the wear on their binding. Then she had some classics, horror, mystery, and thriller novels. But most of her collection was on the supernatural and history. It seems you can take the woman out of the hunter guild, but you can’t take the hunter out of the woman. When she exited her room, I smelled her before she called out to me. I’d been trying to keep Irving in check before I turned around. And wow. I knew she was gorgeous, but I don’t think I was prepared for her to dress up,

I’m damn proud of it, and I’m glad I didn’t give up after the first fail. I’ve discovered that I get into those fantasy stories where one person knows who his or her soul mate is upon meeting them, or even before that, as what happened in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas, A Kinda Fairy Tale series by Cassandra Gannon, and many of the shifter books by Eve Langlais that I have loved so much. So that’s where I came up with the Love Mark idea.

I prayed that we will continue to be a complete and understanding family where there is no conflict. I looked at the man beside me, the man who made my life complete. The man who made me believed that there really is true love for me. I smiled knowing that he’ll always be my side, protecting me and our future little ones soon. This man is my life and without him, I would be nothing. I rested my head on his shoulders and felt the solemnity of the place. This is my home, my knight in shining suit who would save me always. Ethan is and will always be my home.

It was Damian Knight’s voice when he said, “You belong to me.” Because a part of her believed him. And a darker part didn’t want to argue. She stood restlessly and wandered the room. She tilted her head. It was the only one not aligned with the rest. She reached out. Pulled it. Nothing happened. No secret door. No dramatic reveal.

His blind spot. Henry Blake was finally, finally vulnerable. And Sarah… Sweet, shy Sarah with the big eyes and the trembling breath… She was already in my head. Already under my skin. I needed to call my Alphas to see what Kat had told them and ask if there were any new developments. As much as I wanted to believe we had time to figure out how to defeat the Dark Fae, I couldn’t allow myself to completely relax.
