Nate and I were talking during the weekend…” “And?” Sophia urged after a while since Rosa was taking a while to complete her thought. “And…he thinks you are hiding something…maybe running away from something in your past or …I don’t know,” she laughed nervously. “You know Nate. He always seemed to think everyone is hiding a secret or something…”

It was subtle, sure, but it was there nonetheless, unmistakable. “Do you want to join me for cookies?” Rose found herself offering, not quite sure who the woman was, but definitely eager to find out… She could use some spice to her life. Roman had been far too careful with her as of late, as if her miscarriage had suddenly turned her into a doll that might break at the slightest wrong move. The woman scoffed, but ended up saying, “Sure.” “Care to tell me your name?” Rose asked after some time. “Natasha Petrov,” she told her immediately. “And no, you can’t call me Nat.”

Rose finally straightens her dress as she drove back to her hometown, hugging aunty and Derff and saying, "I'll take care of the rest, and I'll see you both when my work is finished, take care of you both," as they wave goodbye to Rose. She placed the white roses in front of the gravestone and stood there silently for a long time. Finally, she said softly, "When I said I wouldn't forgive you, I meant it. But I don't hate you anymore either. Rest in peace."

Rose went near to him to find out why he was crying by sitting there. When she came near to him she asked him: " Hey, why are you crying?" The hair of Rose was still on her face and covered her face. He gave no reply to Rose and continued eating his rice and burger. The smell of the Chinese rice and chicken burger was so amazing and yummy that Rose did not control herself as she had been hungry from many days, she wanted to eat food with him. But she controlled herself and asked him again the cause of weeping and this time Rose touched his shoulder with her hand so that he would notice and said:

In a part of my story, an older woman tells Nathaniel that he and Rose are destined for each other. I guess you could say that means soulmates. I’ve just never believed in soulmates. I believe in love and fighting for it, keeping it alive no matter what. I believe that can happen, not just meeting someone and knowing they are the only one for you.”
