Zack’s POV I watch from the kitchen island, my throat tight, feeling like I’m watching a movie of a life I wasn't allowed to have. Nathan—the man who runs the most feared syndicate in the North—is currently acting like a human jungle gym. It started with "the flying game" and devolved into playful chaos. Nathan is on all fours, letting Lila ride his back like a pony. He’s growling playfully, nipping at her heels until she shrieks with laughter and collapses into the rug. The "Don of Havenfall" just ran after a colorful bouncy ball like a retriever and brought it back in his teeth to a three-year-old.

Nathan has taken the first flight home and has called his friend to pick him up from the airport, he has also informed his twin sister Natalie not to worry about flying to the Copperbelt to bail him out coz everything has been taken care of. Nathaniel is spoiled and arrogant so he knows that no matter the kind of relationship he has with his father Mr Williams, he can never let his son spend the whole night in jail for the sake of his reputation he has to protect as a former Minister of Mines.

Grandfather Wilson also sat down opposite the young woman. "You are now the CEO of Nithany, aren't you?" "That's right, Grandpa," Nina replied. "Is it true that Nathan founded Nithany?" Grandpa Wilson urged Nina to tell him about Nithany, so Nina told him everything. Grandpa Wilson was silent, nodding and stroking his chin. "I heard that Wils had just completed a big project with huge profits, and the executor was named Nina. Is that you?" Nina was stunned, but she also nodded. It seemed that the grandfather already knew everything, so there was no point in covering it up anymore.

He wrapped around his left arm over Peanut's neck. Just like Peanut, he is sweet and kind. He is overprotective of his twin sister. He saw the text written on the notebook, then glanced back at Eurus. "It's... It's been ages since we last dreamt. What was your dream? Did you have a dream? Cashew asked as his face grew with excitement. Eurus responded with a short answer, "Yes." He doesn't want to go into details about it. It was not a dream, it was a nightmare, Eurus thought to himself. He kept it to himself, didn't want to spill his words, thinking it would crush their expectations of dreaming.

“That is neither here nor there.” “Midnight is a week’s ride away. We’re—” “A week!” “Aye.” Amusement laces Ethan’s tone. “A week. The Northern Pass is the quickest route to my castle, but also the most well-known. That’s the route James will use to send his Wolves after us—so we’re taking a slight detour. When they don’t find us in a few days, he’ll call them off, and they’ll go back to fighting the Southlands armies.”

Her name resonated off his ribcage like an open sore. --- Nathaniel's Study — 3:00 A.M. The room reeked of stale smoke and remorse. Nathaniel was sprawled across his massive oak desk, a whiskey glass nearly full near his elbow. The fire spat, but he'd yet to add another log. Outside, the world slept under a shroud of mist. And here, in this room, so did he. She'd told him she worked nights. She'd told him she did it for her brother.

Of course, before she can even finish her sentence our moment is interrupted by one of my warriors as his voice fills my head through the link. “Alpha. We've found a girl on our lands. She claims not to be a Rogue and doesn't smell like one either but, she's refusing to tell us her name. Said she'll only speak to you. We weren't sure if we should take her to the cells or not because of our guests.” Nathen is a fairly new warrior but already he's proving to be a good one, but right now, I just want to knock him the fuck out for ruining the moment.

We will not let her win. How? Nathaniel asks. We have been trying for months. She is always one step ahead. We hire someone. A private investigator. Someone who can find anyone. Someone who does not play by the rules. Someone who knows how to find people who do not want to be found. Nathaniel nods. He pulls out his phone. I know someone, he says. I will call him. He walks to the window. He looks out at the fire escape. He dials. The clock on the nightstand reads 11:58.

The sound of Nathaniel echoed continuously through the streets. Recently, Nathaniel and Chester, in partnership, had been expanding their power towards the three northwestern provinces. They had become somewhat lax in their control of South City. This was the reason for the current situation. But now, Nathaniel had made up his mind—similar things would never be allowed to happen again! "Yes!" For a moment, the response from the group of men in black ahead shot into the sky. "What are they doing..."

The morning conversation had reassured them both that they were capable of working together and finding solutions to the challenges they faced. As Nathaniel drove to his office, he couldn't help but appreciate the beauty of the morning and the sense of renewed purpose that had come with it. It was a new day, and with it came the promise of growth, understanding, and perhaps even the chance to explore the forbidden desires he had buried for so long.
