The impact hurled Hugh back toward Ludiciel, who with both hands gripping his sword, brought the hilt down, slamming Hugh into the ground with a resounding crash. Dust and debris erupted around them as Hugh’s body sank into the earth, the necromancer groaning in pain. He coughed, chanting some ancient words and his body shimmered with a sickly green light before dissolving into the soil like water into sand. “Stay alert.” Ludiciel warned, his grip on his sword tightening, his sharp eyes scanning the battlefield. "Ugh, necromancers are fucking disgusting." Talon grimaced, his nose wrinkling in revulsion as the stench of rotten corpses filled the air around them.

This had to be the spot. Using every fiber of my being, I hit the earth with the shovel, continuing to upheave the wet dirt until I finally struck flesh. "That has to hurt." With caution, I used the shovel's tip to carve a sigil to the earth. The symbol glowed, giving a dull purple glow. It meant her spirit was still bound to the mundane realm. That done, I cut my palm to draw blood and spilled droplets of the crimson red liquid on the crooked body. "Blood of my blood, Vengeful spirit, I summon thee..." I paused and waited for the usual impiccio. Necromancy was unnatural so nature was sure to put up a fight.

The five vampires eagerly grabbed him, leading him to the dance floor, their fangs on full display. “I hear you kill humans during a game you play,” Rhazien said as Lucifer disappeared into the crowd, “called ‘The Hunt.’” Sam nodded, taking another sip of wine. “Humans who misbehave on Earth are punished during the hunt. It’s their personal hell.” Rhazien nodded thoughtfully, his fingers nervously fidgeting with his glass. He hesitated before speaking again, his eyes glancing at me occasionally. “Perhaps... our realms could strike a deal?”
