“Your turn,” Ethan said, ignoring her mockery. “What’s your biggest regret?”
Her laughter faded as she thought about it. “Not standing up for myself sooner,” she admitted softly.
Ethan’s expression softened, but he didn’t push. “Your question.”
She brightened. “What’s one thing you’ve never told anyone?”
Ethan paused, his jaw tightening. “I hate flying. Private jets make it bearable, but I’d rather not be in the air at all.”
