I quickly tapped the answer button and called out, my voice louder than I intended. a little hoarse from the tears. “Babes, you called,” I grinned wide and unrestrained. Her soft, familiar voice echoed through the speaker. “Issy darling! Don’t tell me you’ve been crying already. Not even ten minutes in New York and you’re already falling apart?” I chuckled, feeling the warmth spread through my chest. “Please, how’s London treating you? Bet you miss the chaos of New York.” “Yeah, right. I actually love not having to dodge taxis and tourists every five seconds.”

I can’t help but amaze at the astounding city lights of array colors as we pass by, the colossal skyline buildings that stand tall from afar, the neon lights that flicker in different colors, and billboards flash with advertisements that blur through the car window.
