Alpha's Tension

Alpha's Tension

I throw the door open quickly to escape their baradment. While on my way through the stone hallways that seem as though they are written from a fairytale, I pass a room with the television blaring in sound. "Benjamin Lanzetta under investigation by NYPD regarding the disappearance of two NYU students." I pause in my tracks. Investigation? Why are they publicizing the investigation if he hasn't been detained? Oh yes. I nearly forgot. He's the mafia boss of New York.

Scars

Scars

Chapter 63 Gideon We land at Teterboro Airport at 8:00 PM, our time, but it’s 6:00 PM here in New York. It’s only two hours but added with stress, and it can feel like jet lag. We arrange for a car service to pick us up and take us to The James New York NoMad on east 29th and Madison. The rest of the world doesn’t know that this is a Packhouse in the middle of New York City. All those urban legends about wolves in New York City parks are kind of true. They are just werewolves. That’s why they don’t get caught. We pull up to The James, and we quickly unload. Alpha Flynn is waiting to meet us.

Devine Ray
Beautiful story! Loved the characters and the plot. I am not sure you can correct errors after the book is complete but be conscious of errors. They are very distracting. Looking forward to reading James's story when you have progressed a bit.

My World Of Mystery

My World Of Mystery

She cannot believe she did not notice his presence following her all this time. Turning around she gasps in surprise the moment she notices how close he is to her. She can feel her cheeks heating up as her she almost stops breathing when his scent hit her nose. Unsheathing her sword, she quickly pointed it to his throat before he had the chance to take a step inside their home. "Why did you follow me here? Do you have a death wish?" Lyn stated as she glared darkly at Freed, who raises both his hand up in the air in surrender. She cannot believe that she manage to get embarrassed because of him.

MOONLIGHT MYSTIQUE

MOONLIGHT MYSTIQUE

He slipped the phone out, shielding the screen. Three new messages. He’ll suffocate you, moonlight. I’ll show you freedom. You want to say no, but your body already betrayed you. Meet me. One chance. Midnight. The old library wing. Eliot’s stomach dropped. Midnight. The words burned into him like fire. He should delete them. He should erase Damien from his life before Theo noticed. But his thumb lingered over the screen, trembling, betraying the truth he refused to say aloud. He wanted to go.

Divorced and Rekindled (Once Divorced, Twice Loved)

She’s hardworking, intelligent, and so fucking brave it demands my admiration. Clearing my throat, I ask, “How are you doing?” Her thumb brushes over mine, then a stunningly happy smile lights up her face. “Surprisingly good.” Her eyes fill with a mischievous expression. “It seems my mystery man has the magic touch.” Mystery man. Right. She doesn’t know who I am. Taking a deep breath, I tighten my hold on her hand. Before silence can fall between us, I ask, “How long have you lived in New York?”

Murder on the Northwind Trail

Murder on the Northwind Trail

"Hannah… you won… But it's over… cough, cough…" There was more hacking, the sound of lungs drowning from cyanide poisoning. "I… started recording… when you came in… It's uploaded… to the cloud… automatically…" My whole body went cold. That damned Mike. Even dying, he set a trap. He never trusted me!

Soup Shop Mystery

Soup Shop Mystery

A moment later, a piece of paper slid through the narrow gap beneath my door. The footsteps retreated in haste. I peered through the peephole. The hallway was empty. I didn't touch the note, afraid of smudging fingerprints. Instead, I crouched and read the words on it: I know the truth about Edmund's death. Come to the big banyan tree in Greenfield Residences at 11 p.m. Don't call the police. The note was crafted with meticulous care—letters cut out from newspapers and books, pieced together like a ransom demand, leaving no trace of handwriting.

The Mysterious Disappearance

The Mysterious Disappearance

Emma's heart racing, she picked it up and read the words: "Meet me at the old clock tower at midnight. Come alone." The note wasn't signed, but Emma knew instinctively that it was from someone who knew her secrets. Someone who might be able to help her uncover the truth about her sister's disappearance and the sinister forces at play. Emma's mind was a whirlwind of questions. Who was behind the note? What did they want from her? And what did they mean by "come alone"? As the clock struck midnight, Emma stood in front of the old clock tower, her heart pounding in her chest. The building loomed above her, its stone façade shrouded in shadows. She hesitated for a moment, wondering if she had ma

Mysterious Disappearances

Mysterious Disappearances

I despised them almost as much as I despised being woken up from my sleep, I rolled my eyes before looking over at Justin, Justin was a tall lanky guy, three years my junior and completely obsessed with murders. “Rush, it is an extremely high profile case and there’s a lot of second guessing going around, let’s face it the Hudson’s are not short of enemies. They’ve been crawling out from the shadows for some time now.” there was a brief pause where Justin and I gave each other a knowing look, only a person with our experience would know that a person who is missing, is a person of interest. “If a person has nothing to hide, why would they run?” I said to Justin while raising an arched eyebro

Detective Casie Blackwood and the Moonlit Secrets

Detective Casie Blackwood and the Moonlit Secrets

"The preliminary hormonal shifts will continue to intensify. Your wolves are already responding to the changes, even if you're maintaining human control." "Fascinating biology lesson," Rick muttered, pulling into traffic with supernatural precision. "Now, can we focus on the dead collector and the missing magic diamond?" Through their bond, Casie felt his discomfort, not with her approaching heat, but with discussing it so clinically while they were investigating murders. The practical focus was so quintessentially Rick that it steadied her, grounding the conversation in the case rather than their personal situation. "Krane's home is in Westbrook Heights," Nathaniel reported, already mapping
