Newt Magical Beasts Novels & Stories

As soon as the door closed behind him, I threw the cup at the wall, watching it break into a million pieces, then let out a frustrated roar. Later that evening I was walking the halls, unable to sleep with my memories playing havoc on my mind once again, when I passed by the infirmary and saw Mrs Potter talking with the head healer. I remembered Sebastian telling me about our guest and felt the familiar anger growing within me once again. This was exactly the reason that I had my territory cloaked from the outside world, why I only allowed the staff of my choice to leave and fetch supplies once a year. If we started taking pity on every creature that begged for our help, the place would be o

The hag whispered, leaning in to whisper in my ear with her forked tongue so that I felt something slither on my neck briefly before her words sent a chill down the length of my spine. “I think it's a hybrid's done it, Mr. Bayes, a Magi. An abomination.” Ma Jules whispered and I inhaled a sharp, burning breath.

"Things have changed since you left." "What kind of things?" "There are people living here who's not..normal. People who can transform into creatures at night." My eyes widened. "Werewolves?" "Yeah. But the beast is unlike the others. It's vicious and bloodthirsty. It kills people in its blinded rage." "So that was what dad talked about." "The Hunter group is going crazy for the beast. It's deadly and unpredictable. Not to mention that there's more than one." "Meaning the werewolves?"

At first, it seems like they were going to chatise me up for eavesdropping, but after looking at me, they start to stutter. “Oh, Belle! Your name is Belle, right? You’re that new–” “The lycans.” I interrupt them. I have gotten so used to the male stuttering and drooling at my appearance that it is starting to get annoying. “What did you say about them?” “Ah, t-they caught a lycan wandering in the gates last night. I heard that they have it kept in a cage somewhere in the academy.” “Do you know where?” “No.” The boy responds. “But Ajax might.”

Bruce asks me. I shake my head. "I could use a ride if you don't mind. I am not sure I am ready to drive today," I say. I know I am not ready to drive. "I can take you, but first, I have to tell you something. I made some calls while you were sorting through some things. I wanted to give you some space. I found both of your uncles. They own a little magic shop in New Orleans. It is called Elemental Magic," Bruce says.

Well, now it makes sense. “His curse will lift when his mate learns to love him. Just like Beauty and the Beast,” he added, throwing me a lopsided smirk. Ugh, anything Disney, and I'm sold. I inclined my head with interest, willing him to continue. “Ancient magic was used to hex him. We don't know the legitimate reason behind it, and Alec will never tell. But when we were pups, I can recall how delighted the pack was over the birth of the beta's daughter, Leah Grayson. She was the Alpha's long-awaited soulmate, and the only one who could lift his curse.”

Steven was indeed feeling a little helpless, if only he could get rid of the seals that were on his wrist and that apparently prevented him from using his true powers, he could then protect Cassy properly. And suddenly they saw the magic beast that had attacked them, and it was a red fox. It was the first time they had seen one and according to Ronan, the magic beasts they had to be most wary of were red foxes and black snakes, and they had just happened to run into one of those red foxes.

Nueva continued undeterred by the awful beast. "What makes you think I work for anyone other than myself?" His low, rumbling, displeased growl told another story. "Simple, you are too dumb to know magic." Nueva spat in a defiant tone. The wolf's eyes flickered bright yellow, and saliva dripped from its mustard-coloured fangs. Nueva could sense that he wanted to kill her, but something held him back. So instead, he turned to the flock and grumbled, "Finish the others. I'll get the bait."

But there was no one there to answer my questions. I didn't waste another second. I hurried out of the room, relieved to find that the door wasn't locked. I stepped into the hallway and looked in both directions, unsure of where to go or whether anyone was watching me. I still had no idea why I had been brought back to the palace. The Custodian had drugged me and driven me all the way back here, but for what reason? The Beast only slept with a woman once. That was the rule I had heard about him, and it was the reason I had never imagined I would see him again after that night. So what did he want from me now? Why had he gone through the trouble of bringing me back?
