It was the first time in his life he entered the city library, “Woah! It is huge. I never knew this building can collect this amount of books. I guess that I have to take birth more than ten times to finish reading all these books,” Nicolas mumbled in an extremely surprised tone. The faint smell of new books, papers and old books were lingering in the air of the huge hall of the library. But the fresh smell of paint suppressed all other smells.

He loved to hear the stories of how his father and I met and how wolves believed in the moon goddess, but he loved the idea of having a fated mate even more. Our library has grown so much over the past ten years that it is pretty amazing to look at. Fynn and I had been working really hard to fill in the blanks where we were missing information. When we started, it was as if the ancient had the library split to enable him to hide things from his people. We didn’t want to hide anything. Each time I found out about a new power, we would document it. Each time something new happened to Friedrich, we kept notes so that future generations could know what they were letting themselves in for.

The internet didn’t so much filter information; rather, it added more ingredients to concoct a story people found interesting. “Our library is the best in the kingdom—and perhaps even the world. We have documents dating back thousands of years,” he replied, pride in his voice. Now that sounded like a place I could spend some serious time in! I tried not to show how excited I was, but Mac could read me like a book (pun intended). He knew I was secretly a nerd. A badass nerd—but a nerd nonetheless. “Can we go there tomorrow? I really want to look into this, for peace of mind and curiosity’s sake.”
