Nina; The real me
My curiosity got the better of me, and I moved a bit closer, trying to catch snippets of their conversation.
"Don't play games with me," Thomas said. "You know the reason why I'm here. Where is she?"
James's eyes turned briefly in my direction, and I felt a cold sensation run down my spine. "She's none of your business, Thomas. Leave her out of this."
Thomas laughed, "Oh, but she is my business. You see, I have something that belongs to her."
Before I could process what was happening, Thomas rose up and walked toward me. He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a small, black velvet pouch. "Nina, isn't it? I believe this belongs to you."
