Deangelo's gaze settled on Rosita, who stood before Romano, who knelt on the floor with an open ring box in his hand, a massive diamond sparkling inside. Without hesitation, Deangelo drew a pocket knife from his waist, tossing it at the box. The blade struck right, knocking the ring from Romano's grasp and sending it clattering to the floor. "What the fuck, Scorpion? Are you trying to kill me?!?" Romano yelled like a bulldog.

The main stone was flawless, throwing off a blinding, luxurious light. The caption read: “I love it. I think I know what’s in his heart.” That pink diamond was the star of the auction, the final, most expensive piece. Priceless. I stared at the screen, then shut off my phone with a bitter laugh. Not long after, Donatello came home.
