"Where exactly are we going?" Selene limped between Rowan and Agnes, trying to keep pace despite her throbbing ankle. "My pack." Rowan scanned the trees ahead, muscles tense. "Well, one of our observation posts. We monitor the territories, keep tabs on rouge activity." "You have a pack?" She stumbled, and his hand shot out to steady her. "But I thought-" "That I was just some random wolf who likes rescuing damsels in ceremonial dresses?" His smirk didn't reach his eyes. "This cabin is one of our outposts. We watch, we listen, we stay hidden."

I whispered, gripping my stomach as something moved inside me. My bones snapped and shifted. I could hear it. A thousand little cracks and rearrangements. My fingers split into claws. My jaw unhinged. My spine curved, twisted, snapping in places I didn’t know could bend. My hoodie ripped like paper. Fur spilled from my skin. Not brown. Not black. But white. Blinding. Ethereal. Then a sudden silence drifted down like snow, soft, absolute. So still, I could hear the whisper of a moth brushing the light.

Madam Amelia seemed to know this as she nodded her head at me. “Now what? You can’t break your vow. What will you do? You can’t have a Wolf Rider running around Astoria.” There it was. She knew what her daughter was. The half human part of it was the least of it. The fact that she was a Rider—a creature that could control a werewolf with a simple command. A creature that ruined my family's life. A creature, who must be destroyed before it gains power. There hasn't been a rider born in half a century, and even before, there was only one that ruled Astoria.

There's a moment of silence, but I can sense the shock that turns to deep joy in him. 'Is the Luna Queen coming with you? Ooohh Moon Goddess, finally! Midnight Moon is blessed today!,' he sounds dramatic but crazy happy. 'Do not exaggerate. Miss Weiner from Human Town is accompanying me,' I correct him. But nothing can dampen his mood…

I began, my voice filled with genuine curiosity, "what could possibly be worth betraying our pack for? What could another pack offer that would entice someone to forsake the unity and strength we share?" Levi's gaze met mine, his expression thoughtful yet pensive. The lines on his forehead deepened slightly as he pondered my question, as if trying to unravel the enigma that had unsettled our pack's tranquility. "Jasmine," he replied, his voice tinged with a mix of frustration and determination, "that's precisely what I've been trying to figure out. The White Moon pack isn't just the greatest in this country, but for years, we have stood as the sole pack in the entire Northwest region of the

Satisfied that she had enough rounds of ammunition between this gun and the other one she had in reserve stuck into the back of her belt, she headed for the door. “Mother White? Where are you going?” Flamingo asked from the control panel where she was doing nothing--nothing right, anyway. “To flush out a little mouse,” White replied. “See if you can keep from destroying the entire Motherhood while I'm gone, hmm?” White hurried down the hall, knowing she needed a better plan than just walking up to Rain and yelling at her to drop her weapon. No, she’d need to utilize what he’d seen on the monitors to get the girl to come to her. If she had the right bait, it would be easy to catch the mouse.

Arden announced. I only raised my brows as my wolf moved freely within me. "So how is it going to happen?" Silence fell in the car for a while. I figured that we were all thinking up something because it had become obvious that we had not planned our actions right. "Has any of you heard of the Black City?" Father finally broke the silence. Arden let out a light chuckle. "Every shady deal in White Moon Pack takes place there. If you want to buy dangerous information, I bet that you can find it there," Arden explained.

Moose was jumping around Damon who was trying to get his bed from the floor but Moose stampeded over his own bed the whole time and was trying to get his food from the bag and I saw a few toys already scrambled over the floor. Damon looked back when he heard me and Moose took the opportunity to lick Damon all over his face, earning a grunt from Damon. I let out a laugh and helped Damon get everything sorted and soon we put Moose on the backseat who hardly fit in there. “Is this all you're taking?” Damon asked me. I turned around. “It's just for a few nights, right? I don't need much. Not that a lot more would fit in your car.” I said as I turned around again, looking at the car. Damon let ou

"A moose. Right there in his own habitat. That's something city folks don't see every day. Hell, I don't see it every day." Shasta looked past Blake as the plane circled above a small marsh. A huge moose with broad antlers stood knee-deep in emerald-green water, contentedly munching on water grasses. "That is a bull Eastern moose. He's about eight hundred pounds of bad attitude, and he stands as tall as I do, six and a half feet at his shoulders." He grinned at her. "He's a majestic beast. But you don't want to ever get close to him. They're pretty dangerous."
