Her Father chasing her, beating her, screaming at her. Her beast tormenting her once again. All the Jess’s, the young ones or the older ones, each one of them that cried out in pain as they were being cut, burned or beaten, each Jess that was ever told how she should just die,

I spent my nights crying under the covers, too scared to tell my mother what was going on. Oddly, my recurring nightmares began to subside during this time. The dreams grew faint almost as if they were fading away. The sudden peace lulled me into thinking perhaps nothing would happen after all. However, what was bound to happen would still happen.
