I jolted awake, trembling violently as cold sweat clung to my skin. A nightmare. Only a nightmare… though Hazel remained strangely restless beneath my skin. Suddenly, the door pushed open and Dominic crossed the room in seconds, concern darkening his expression. He was beside me before I could steady my breathing, his hand closing around mine. "Are you hurt, Natalia?" "I heard you from the room beside yours.” I turned my gaze to him as I regained my composure. "I–I'm fine. It was just a nightmare," I said, brushing away strands of hair from my face.

It was the silliest picture of my cat. The pinned contact name at the top read, "Darling".

She shook her head and drifted away, looking melancholy. I grabbed a few other ghosts, who all gave the same answer. Without exception, they knew nothing about their names or pasts, so I had no choice but to refocus on the clues at hand. The notice was roughly pieced together, but I could vaguely make out that it was a school notice issued to students. "Campus… Fully enclosed management… No communication devices allowed…" This was a fully enclosed boarding high school. Before completing their studies, the students could not set foot outside the school grounds.

**Ally’s POV** I woke up feeling refreshed. New house. New start. I woke the kids up and headed out to brunch. They could help me pick out a new car today. It was going to be a great day. We arrived to brunch at our favorite place and sat in our usual server’s section. The kids were happy, I was happy. Lo and behold when I looked up and saw none other than Collier though. It was such a weird sensation. I actually was glad to see him. It was as if every nerve in my body needed him again. What in the hell was wrong with me?

"Crazy?" Xanti asked. He wouldn't deny that he was also terrified when the conversation was about a ghost. "You can see his behaviors earlier, when he's speaking his eyes looking around and suddenly smile and when you entered I noticed him screaming outside," said Nash even though he was terrified. "What is he shouting?" They all asked. The three stopped shouting and started listening to them.. "My child....give my daughter back....Where is my daughter Casey?! Wait who is Casey hahahaha." They stopped when Nash suddenly did what the old man did earlier.

Instead of being picked up by guardians, a petite woman always came to get her at the end of the day. None of the pups that the guardians took looked familiar to me. If there were any from my pack, I would have recognized them. I worked in the daycare since my parents passed away. I knew everyone there. I could only hope they managed to escape during the raid. The only other option would be death.

"Oh, sorry Luna, Hazel I'm Hazel Reeves." "How can I help Hazel?" I say as I bounce the baby girl up and down, shushing her as she starts to calm. "Sorry to ask Luna, but I cannot fulfil my job in the kitchen as the day care here within the pack is full. I like my job very much and cannot afford to not work. My mate died sadly in the attack on the packhouse and I have been juggling my babies on my own since. Could you suggest some help for me please, or are there any plans to extend the day care?"

The only other piece of furniture was a small bedside cabinet, one of those cheap fibreboard units that looked as if the only thing keeping it together was a wing and a prayer and the fact it was wedged tight between the bed and the wall. I was clutching the only pillow to my chest, my arms wrapped around it like it was a lifebelt, keeping me afloat. I didn't want to be awake, but when I closed my eyes I saw his – Davey's – wide, bulging pools of terror that told me I'd done this. I might as well have torn open his chest myself and cracked apart his rib cage with my bare hands. I'd brought death to his door. I'd brought death to them all.
