MELENA "Why are you here?" Alpha Strider questioned Alpha Alexander irritably. "I think you already know," the green-eyed alpha eyed me, answering him. "I'm here to bring home my new sex toy." I hid myself behind Alpha Strider and held onto the back of his clothes, scared. "It seems you, too, are very close." Alexander peeked at me from behind Alpha Strider. Alpha Strider blocked him with his right hand, preventing him from seeing me. "Are you two fucking?" Alpha Alexander asked Alpha Strider.

The Alphas could sense a stranger. I took the last open locker in the far corner, sat on the wooden bench, and began to lace my skates. When my hands started to shake, I forced them to stay steady. At the back of my throat, my illegal medicine burned like battery acid. The dose I took this morning was dangerously high, leaving my body feeling numb. But it worked. It had to work. If my real scent leaked now, I wouldn't make it out of the building alive. A massive, broad-shouldered Alpha leaned against the locker next to mine. "New?"

He stood at the front of the platform wearing formal black with a silver cloak resting across one shoulder. The Alpha crown sat on his head, making him look powerful and distant.
