Sphinx

“The smell is how you know the living, but a dead thing cannot understand this. I don’t blame you, after all you were born weak and you had to die to become what you are now. Whereas we dogs are born as beast and we remain as beast till the day we die,” “Dogs are just animals,” Adrian mocks. “And yet we are superior to you who beg for a second chance at life,” “If only you could be cured of your mortality, you would understand,”. “It’s funny how vampirism could not cure your baldness. In fact, a few more years and you will lose the rest of your hair”. Alex ignores the men as they bicker. Saying words with context of insults. “Will both of you shut up? Your little chirping is disturbing my sl

Grandpa's Funeral Reduced to Her Dog's Show

Grandpa's Funeral Reduced to Her Dog's Show

When I saw Isaac stepping across the lying tombstone to bury the dog, my vision went red. I lunged forward, yanking the dog's corpse out and hurling it aside. "Look around!" I snarled. "This is a cemetery for heroes. Only the nation's greatest are buried here, and you dare defile it? You'll face justice for this!" I desperately shielded the trampled tombstone, engraved with Cuthbert's heroic deeds. They had defiled it.

Once Upon a Full Moon

Once Upon a Full Moon

I mind link with my mate. “Is it done?” he asks. “Mostly. A few got away, but the pack has basically been wiped out.” I tell him about Doogie and his mother. “I let them go. He doesn’t…he’s like a toddler. He doesn’t even know what’s up or down.” “The last Alpha on record is a wolf named Clifford.” “I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Clifford is dead. Doogie was definitely their Alpha.” “You’re sure?”

This is a good book. Good story line but a note for the author. You need to work on emotions… make me feel what’s going on.. how they are feeling. You are one of the better authors I’ve read on this platform just need more depth to the characters
Kathleen
I really enjoyed this book - it’s like unraveling a series of presents - the story telling is amazing, the FL and ML are both strong, intelligent and - a rarity in most of this kind of novels - communicate to each other! No unnecessary drama, no drawing on - congratulations to the author!

Oops, I've Been Exposed

Oops, I've Been Exposed

He'd obviously never dreamt that he would die so easily. Frustration, regret, and resentment were the three complex emotions that were expressed on his face before being quickly replaced by a lifeless gray. Then, a thud echoed in the ward as his body fell to the ground—unmoving, just like the other five. Since he'd chosen to be someone's dog, then he had to be prepared to become a dead dog one day. After that, Woody turned and left. Then, he casually broke the door lock to prevent anyone from discovering the dead bodies and causing a panic.

Declared Dead, Replaced by a Fraud

Declared Dead, Replaced by a Fraud

Then she walked up to me, viciously grinding her foot into my wound, using my blood as ink to press down her handprint. After finishing all this, she revealed a cruel smile. "Let him go," she ordered the security guards before saying to me, "John, you know? Your look of despair was just like your mother's before she died. On the day I went to court to declare you dead, I deliberately delivered the good news to your mother. Who would have thought that she'd be so frail? She passed away due to a heart attack." Nora did not have an ounce of pity on her face, only provocation.

No More, Never Again

No More, Never Again

“Shawn, I’m coming to you with our baby.” … I was back at Shawn’s funeral when I opened my eyes again. My body felt translucent. No one could see me. But it was all right. I was dead now, which meant I could see my Shawn again. I scanned the room and searched for his presence. Finally, I saw him. He was standing beside Jenna. I instinctively rushed toward him. “Shawn, I finally found you! We’re having a baby!” However, my hands passed right through him. Shawn did not seem to hear me. He turned to comfort his grieving parents and said, “Dad, Mom, don’t cry. It’s me. I’m not dead.”

How to Catch a Mate

How to Catch a Mate

“We got it.” They left in a slow pack, shoulders sore, feet dragging. Mira leaned against the doorway, arms crossed. “You’re mean.” “They’re alive,” I said. She nodded. “They won’t forget this.” “They better not.” We watched the pups spill out into the yard again, this time with other handlers. The Den hummed. Work got done. No one was dead today. That counted. Keiral walked by with a clipboard. “They passed,” she said without looking up. “Barely. Tomorrow I fail them on purpose.”

Leading My Family to Glory

Leading My Family to Glory

Over twenty of the dog shed members kept pouncing on the Orpheus members before being sent flying by the two people. It was like a pack of hungry wolves surrounding and attacking two male lions in a huge meadow. Although the lions were fierce, the wolves didn’t fear death. They had their own faith, which was to never give up. Even if they died, they would die with dignity. Hence, no matter how fierce the lion was, it will one day die in the hands of the wolves. This battle went on for about five minutes. From the initial number of twenty-two dog shed numbers, they were now down to eighteen, with four dead and almost half of the remaining heavily injured.

Love all the characters especially ML and FL. True love bonding. Tyr never sets his eyes on other women tho surrounded by them n possesses s/natural powers. Unlike some amazingSIL stories abandoned the wife for hundreds of chaps, he always keeps in touch wt his wife. Lots to learn from this story.
