Blue water as far as I could see, some shallow reefs near the surface, and in the middle of nowhere, a tiny green dot that grew bigger as we got closer.
"Is that an island?" I asked, pressing my face to the glass. "Looks like something out of Tarzan."
"It's a private island," Makoa answered from the cockpit, his voice calm. "Bought by a friend of Rocco's twenty years ago. Nobody comes here. Nobody even knows this exists."
"How does nobody know? It's an island. Satellites are a thing, you know?"
Makoa laughed, a deep sound that echoed through the cabin.
"Not when your friend works at the Pentagon, wahine."
