Clover stood completely still. Her breathing became shallow. The blackness in her eye spread for a moment before disappearing again. Kael noticed immediately. “Clover?” She didn’t answer. He touched her shoulder. She flinched. “It’s inside me.” Everyone went silent. Nyx stepped forward. “The First Void.” Clover nodded. “I can feel it.” “What does it feel like?” Kael asked. Clover closed her eyes. “Like someone is standing behind me.”

Noelle was here? Her opponent's ginger waves were contained by a ponytail. She donned her dusty, orange-tinged armor that had seen much blood; her dark wings were spread apart, challenging Noelle. She stood tall with her orange staff, so full of darkness that you could see the black mist steaming from her staff.

Noelle was wearing a long black dress. Her hair fell loosely over her shoulders, the ends slightly curled. There was a gentle smile at the corners of her lips, and she looked incredibly serene. Liam must have said something to her because her smile deepened, and then she lifted her eyes to look at him. Her gaze shimmered, like a glimmering lake under the sun. Hendrix realized he had never seen her smile like that before. In his memories, Noelle had always been quiet and dull.

Crystal chandeliers, live orchestra, flowers worth more than most people’s monthly rent, but none of it registered. Then she walked in. And the entire world narrowed to a single point. Fuck. Noelle wore a deep crimson gown that looked like it had been poured over her body. The dress was sin incarnate. A plunging neckline that showcased the smooth brown skin of her cleavage, a slit up one thigh that revealed her leg with every step, and a back so low it barely existed. Her natural curls were styled in soft waves, and her obsidian eyes were lined with something that made them look even more dangerous.

She had just turned 18 but still her behaviour seemed like an innocent little kid. Holding her flowing lavender gown, Noelle was running on that corridor in her heels to reach the main hall where her uncle Riccardo was waiting for her. She wanted to reach him as soon as possible so that she could tell him that her sissy Flora was ready and she also didn't want to make her uncle Riccardo wait for longer. “Ugh….” She frowned, seeing her heels troubling her while running, so she removed them and clutched them in her hand and again resumed running.

She walked into the hall further, A black veil covering her face and her black gown fitted her perfectly. Eyes were on her or rather, Stefan's. Stefan stood up from his seat, "Who are you to intrude this coronation!" He yelled. The lady scoffed, "Who am I?" " Remove that veil!" Stefan ordered. Slowly, the lady pull off her veil and it revealed Noelle.

“It wasn’t. Someone lit that fire on purpose.” My knees buckle. “Who?” Before he can answer, the stone wall behind us explodes inward. A blast of glittering frost spirals through the air as Noelle steps into the hall, heels clicking, hair perfect, eyes glowing with sugar-cookie malice. She dusts debris off her shoulders with a pout. “Honestly, I just had my nails done. You two are ridiculous to chase.” Milo whimpers and presses close to me.Lucien steps in front of us. His blue magic flares.

"The only reason he's still here is because he met you. You quiet the voices. You give him a reason to fight." I press a hand to my mouth, trying not to cry. Blue reaches over and squeezes my shoulder. "He loves you more than he's ever loved anything, Noelle. But that darkness... it's been part of him for a long time." Before I can respond, Blair appears at the edge of the garden, her eyes red and swollen. "Noelle... can we talk?" Blue gives my shoulder one last squeeze and stands up. "I'll be close by if you need me," she says, then she walks away.

Now that there was another one whose appearance was not inferior to theirs, it was simply a nightmare. Noelle was startled but finally chose to reveal the other party’s identity. “She’s the daughter of the leader of the Smith Guild, Delia Camas. She has been extremely talented in smithing since she was a child. I guess the Venom Guild wanted to capture her to bring her back to serve them.” Noelle was right. That was the Venom Guild’s intention.

"A four leaf clover wouldn't be able to change my mind." Noah sighed, shaking his head lightly as he looked at me. "You're very stubborn." I chuckled, "You still love me." Noah smiled as he looked out to the water, for the first time taking his eyes off me, "Yeah, I guess I do."
