Swiftly I nod while I tremble. “Good, now be a good girl and come here, the sun is still up, so we can get started, we have a long…. The night ahead of us Vida," the devil tells. Now I understand, it is true that the devil doesn't bargain.

The devil spoke with a mocking tone, "My beautiful visitors, I think you were dying to see me. Now I’m here, but I was in the middle of something. I suppose I’ll have to finish it in front of you." With that, the devil lifted the barely conscious woman, preparing to deliver a fatal blow. Zack sprang into action, using all the strength he could muster to punch the devil. At the same time, Petra threw a knife-like device at the devil’s arm. This device, crafted by the Angels of the Burning Sun’s science tech team, had the power to break bones in ordinary humans. However, it only managed to scratch the devil slightly, though it was enough to make him release the woman.

"The Devil, strictly speaking can't kill safe for some exceptions, for example the Halloween clause." She sat up and reminded me eerily of that guy with the multiple personalities in the movie, 'Glass' except hers wasn't acting. "Today is the one day demons, witches, evil spirits and even the dead can walk the earth freely. Today is also the day when the veil between our world and theirs is thinnest, as such, in the process of claiming a soul, the Devil can kill today."

His words only made Nora run faster as she cried invisible tears. God! Why couldn’t she just stop getting herself into trouble with the devil? The end…

”Nice flowers.” Wendy commended as soon as Rebecca entered the room. Rebecca on the other hand didn’t pay attention to what was said. She was lost in a world of her own thought. She didn’t see the face of the biker, but from the sound of his voice, she could tell who it was. It was a voice she would recognize anytime, any day. The voice of the devil who haunts her in her dream. A pat on the shoulder brought her back to reality. She jerked and the flower slipped from her hands, but Wendy caught it before it could fall to the floor.

Zachary fumed and looked straight in her eyes that were gleaming with mirth. “I am not going to let you or this pauper destroy my kingdom” Delphyne gritted and then looked at Diana who was trying hard to stifle her cries, “Listen and better ingrain this in your mind witch, we are devils. We hate you and your entire fucking community. Heaven was once ours and soon we are gonna snatch it back from you. You better start counting your days because they won’t last long.” Diana gasped in horror. Zachary also stared at his mother incredulously, “THE FUCK YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT??”

(Adelaide) Adelaide stared at Thane with open contempt. He didn’t even glance at her. She wondered if that was deliberate—if ignoring her would make it easier later, when people spoke of her in the past tense. “Tradition speaks,” he continued. “The Devil will appear when the moon crests silver at its highest point. He will take form from shadow and flame. He will call forth the hunt.” A tremor rippled through the girls to her left. Someone whimpered quietly.

“Jazz, can't I rest a day without blood on my arms!“ Devin complained, but when he felt his intimidating gaze from him. He changed his words. “Alright, I will do just that, but that doesn't mean I will have to do it again. But, why are you so concerned about whether the girl is his biological daughter or not?“ Devin asked. Because it was strange the devil bothered himself about something not too necessary. If the girl was Mr. Thomas's daughter or not, he shouldn't bother because, from the way he saw it, the devil enjoyed the night with a girl! “Because I need to know! Now get off your lazy ass. We have work to do!“
