“Girls?” Lieras met her eyes. “Yes.” The room seemed to shrink around her. “We’ve gotten some out,” he continued. “Not enough.” Nova’s fingers curled against the edge of the table as the memory of that room came rushing back, the cold, the restraints biting into her wrists, and the sick certainty of the men who had taken her that simply possessing her meant she belonged to them.
