Charity Starts at Home

“I’ll be better off without you! Lorelei and Natasha are the only ones who really care about me!” Not even looking up, I slammed the door shut in his face. The world fell quiet and peaceful again. My father’s surgery was a success, and he was well on his way to make a full recovery. The funds from Trevor were a lifesaver in my hour of need. I wrote an IOU and arranged for the amount to be gradually deducted from my future project earnings and wages. I put the apartment on the market and sold it. Roddy moved into Lorelei and Natasha’s place next door. Staying so close to these toxic people would only bring me down.

FAKE HUSBAND, REAL TWIN

FAKE HUSBAND, REAL TWIN

Adrian’s POV Sarah and I entered Dr. Arnold's office, where the doctor greeted us with a warm but professional smile. The room was small, with walls lined with certificates and medical charts. “We’re here to discuss moving Nora home,” I began. “She’s stable, but we want her out of this environment for safety reasons. We’re prepared to set up everything she needs to recover fully.” Dr. Arnold leaned back, considering my words. “Nora has made significant progress, but home care requires careful planning. I’d recommend a comprehensive check-up to ensure she’s ready for the transition. If all goes well, I’ll prepare a detailed list of equipment and follow-up requirements.”

Loving a Tycoon

Loving a Tycoon

Nicole’s footsteps echoed through the main hallway of her grandfather’s house. He owned one of the largest homes in Maple Springs, and yet, he and his servants were the only ones occupying the space. He also had a live-in nurse, which was why he didn’t have to stay in the hospital during his last days on earth. When she reached his bedroom, she slowed her steps. It hurt her to see him so sickly, and she cursed the specialists who hadn’t found a cure for lung cancer yet.

The Billionaire's Insignificant Wife

The Billionaire's Insignificant Wife

Medical Recommendation for Home Care. On grounds of the mother's and baby's health. On grounds of emotional stability. On grounds of a more comfortable environment. Alina was recommended for home-based care. Ms. Fontaine closed the document slowly. "Daniel Blackwood." It wasn't a question. Dr. Whitmore let out a long breath. "This afternoon. He came himself." The room fell silent. "Are you going to sign it?" The question came directly. The hospital director looked exhausted, dark circles under his eyes like a man who hadn't slept properly in days.

this story seems like it will take hundreds of chapters before the FL finally gets justice. she has gone through so much abuse and the abuse gets so repetitive, especially the ML's guilty conscience and how he "suppresses" it and carries on with he abuse

Brilliant book. It has kept me captivated and broken my heart so many times but I can't seem to stop reading. Hope it comes to a conclusion soon so I can finally rest (and so can Alina & Junior, hopefully together). 225 chapter as of July 31st, 2026.

Logan (Book 1)

Logan (Book 1)

Although, what's up with following me that day? "You may never know your career by being on Broadway like you wanted." I also learned that he resides in the Home Care for the elderly, where Athena coincidentally works. He's one of those whose family had put them there to get rid of the nuisance of taking care of the elderly, or he has no family to stay with. I didn't look happy or sad to visit other old people who wanted to die in peace. I see him walking around with a nurse at his side. I glanced at the male nurse, who didn't seem to be the caregiver type. I mean, for a handsome young guy like him, why does a nurse wear a tux and act like they're going to be an invasion of ET anytime soon?

The Mafia Don's Captive

The Mafia Don's Captive

“I have a special request to make. Please don't say no.” “What?” “Don't mention anything about Adrian Hart to him. Please. I beg you.” “That's easy, but why?” She exhales, impatient. “Just don't, okay? Don't do it.” I nod, not telling her that it's too late already. I've already mentioned it. She'll find out soon enough, and I don't want to know how she'll take it. Perhaps she'll finally realize how serious I am about this case. I pull into the parking lot of Elysium Healthcare Home and kill the engine. The facility resembles a newly constructed mansion with the front walls made of glass. It's one of the best healthcare homes in New York, and it's quite expensive as well.

She had evidently been playing a lot. She went on to tell me all about her day at the daycare on the way home. Luckily enough, we had found a seat on the bus. By the time we had reached home, she was fully awake and energised. Still carrying her on one arm, I unlocked and opened the front door with the other hand. The moment I stepped in, I called out. “We’re home.” “Welcome home.” A voice called in from within. I helped her with her shoes and then let her down in the entryway. As I removed my shoes, she ran into the house and towards the other person. “Hiro-jii, you did not go to office today too?”

Bullied By The Ruthless Alpha Devils

Bullied By The Ruthless Alpha Devils

There were private caretakers for each child, good food, decent entertainment and better specialists to help her navigate life. Most importantly, it was safe and hidden. I also no longer had to worry about her between the times when I wasn’t around, with all the things there, she was sure to have a great time. The care home cost a fuck ton of money, but it barely put a dent into the money I’d gotten from selling Caeson’s car. I knew the vehicle was expensive, but I’d deeply underestimated how much it cost. I probably wouldn’t have been able to make this much even if I worked the worth of four lifetimes.

Disappointing to not have a POV from each triplet since they are the antithesis of this story along with Charlotte. Interesting read. Would be a good read if readers had the POV's. Going to keep reading for now. Triplets were and still technically highly irredeemable. But I will still read for now.

After the CEO Divorced Me, He Wants Me Back

After the CEO Divorced Me, He Wants Me Back

He was currently living in a care home. Samson was in his sixties, but his health had deteriorated over time. His children had settled him in the care facility, ensuring he had the best of everything, though they rarely visited him. Aaron, along with Selena, brought a gift box and headed straight for the care home. It was nestled in the woods, far from the city, with fresh air and a serene environment. Their car stopped at the entrance, where someone immediately came to check. Aaron handed over his business card.

Divorced, Dazzling, and Desired

Divorced, Dazzling, and Desired

Returning to her office, she grabbed her bag and hurried downstairs, driving straight to Evergreen Care Center. It was the best nursing home in Harborview City, and it cost a lot, with each resident being assigned at least one or two care workers. When Renee arrived at Evergreen over an hour later and alighted, Adam's car arrived as well and stopped next to her. As Adam stepped out, he saw how distraught she looked and assured her, "Security is tight here. She probably never left the compound at all." Renee's eyes were red, and without saying a word, she turned and headed inside the nursing home.

Frequently Asked Questions

A novel is a long, fictional narrative that explores human experiences through characters, plot, and setting. Unlike short stories, novels have the space to develop intricate worlds and deep character arcs. I love how novels like 'The Great Gatsby' by F. Scott Fitzgerald or '1984' by George Orwell can transport you to different eras or dystopian futures while making you reflect on society.

What fascinates me most is how novels blend storytelling with themes—love, war, identity—making them timeless. For instance, 'To Kill a Mockingbird' tackles racism and morality, while 'Pride and Prejudice' dissects class and romance. Whether it’s fantasy like 'The Hobbit' or sci-fi like 'Dune,' novels offer endless possibilities. They’re not just books; they’re gateways to empathy and imagination.
