Lucy did not like the sticky feeling of sweat droplets trickling down her back into her underwear. She wiped her brow as she stared up at the bloom of an Agave Americana plant. This was such a different plant in comparison to Colorado's Quaking Aspens, Rocky Mountain Junipers, and Lodgepole Pines. Lucy huffed as she bent over, placing her hands on her knees and taking in a deep breath. Perhaps she shouldn't have come here. It was so different from home…what had she done? Had she made a mistake coming here?

I consult her herb notebook and quickly locate what I need—Lupines, a plant known for its role in visions and clarity. Flipping through the pages, I find a large picture and read about its supposed toxicity to the people in the Moonlands, conflicting with Azura's notes. "How were you able to ingest it, Azura..." I mutter, re-reading her words. Bang! A loud noise nearly sends me through the ceiling. I rush to the window and see Lucien leaning against his Jeep, grinning up at me.

She pleaded. I sighed heavily as I started off with the books I filched from the librarian, the reading of a fairytale Lycan rule and the information I’d gathered. With each word Lucy’s eyes got wider and wider, her gaze darting more to the window to see her mate patiently waiting outside. “My Goddess…” she finally whispered, her hand playing with the bracelet on her wrist. “It all makes sense.” I was more puzzled than ever as she sat there, neither of us talking. After another minute or two, Lucy finally spoke. “Adam’s a Lycan.”

He was Rosalind's brother and quite welcome here. "Well then, come sit by this fire. I just finished my novel and was planning to retire soon. Like a man who hadn't held a book in his hands in years.

My knees trembled at Lucifer's stare. "W-what do you want?" I asked. Lucifer wasn't one of the friendly and fun-loving angels in the Kingdom. He was the most devious species that ever existed to the point that everyone here was doing their best to avoid him. He playfully smirked. "Guess what." I looked away, I couldn't even stand his creepy grin.

It felt like something out of a fantastical novel rather than her reality. Swinging her legs over the side of the bed, Lune planted her feet on the cool floor, grounding herself in the moment. She took a deep breath, inhaling the fresh morning air tinged with the scent of flowers from outside. The world felt normal, yet she knew everything had shifted. As she moved to the window and opened the curtains, the vibrant colors of the garden outside contrasted starkly with her swirling thoughts.

Just as Litiana was standing in front of Felen who only had a shoulder height, she lowered her head and whispered softly to the human girl. "You know, His Highness Lucifer ordered me to kill you. Tucking the book under her arm, Lucy turned and headed back out, wandering down the marble corridor until she saw the door that led to the garden. She had seen it once from her window but had never gone close. The outside air kissed her skin as she stepped out. She blinked. It was stunning. Flowers bloomed in soft rows, lavender, roses, lilies. Stone paths curled between trimmed hedges. There was a fountain in the center, the sound of water trickling calming her nerves. Trees stood tall at the edges,

However, Lucy understood what Jessica meant and replied seriously, "Miss, don't underestimate these works. They are all written by the female cultivators of literary talent .
