It was actually a nice change of pace. Nurse Hannah Cooper always introduced herself as such. It seemed to have been a mental reflex - a learned behavior - to announce her full name and job title whenever she entered the room. "Nurse Hannah Cooper, here with your meal!" she had said only ten minutes after her previous visit to my room. I couldn't help but smile. She was a bubbly woman, heavy-set and a little stocky. She had hair that reminded me of cotton candy - mostly white, but with hints of gray and blue hidden in the fluffy depths within.

CHAPTER 1 I stepped out of the taxi into the cold night air and looked up at the mansion. Black stone and glass rose against the dark sky. My name is Lena, twenty-eight and a night nurse for six years. Nothing in those years prepared me for this place. The housekeeper opened the door before I knocked and led me down a long marble hallway without speaking. She stopped at the last door, knocked twice, and left me alone. I opened it. Annie Benedict sat on the edge of a massive bed in nothing but an oversized silk shirt that barely covered her thighs. Dark hair spilled over her shoulders. When she looked up, her eyes were sharp, tired and hungry all at once. My stomach tightened.

The next day I was on my way with Marc in the car and the nurse who accompanied us was a woman of fifty, her comfortable body seated in her blue uniform her shoes were very formal but she was very stern with Marc. And I was very pleased with Cathy's arrangement as I had never expected her to act immediately. Marc looked at me as the nurse was put into another car which followed us along. “ I have to thank you for my new nurse, I gather, or was mom making that up?”

"How troublesome you are! You know you're in no shape, yet you still provoke me." She pushed me away, but I didn't let go, leaning down to kiss her ear. "We can't go all the way, but we can..." We'd always made an effort to keep things interesting, so when I hinted, she understood, her cheeks pink as she nodded. I glanced down at the IV in my hand. At that moment, the door swung open. "Ah!" A young nurse, Rachel Chase, nearly dropped her tray. "I'm sorry! It's time to change your dressing."

Ella dashed right into the hospital. She didn't care if she was looking out of place or the curious look people gave her as she made hastily made her way to the nurse up desk. Her heart thumped greatly within. "My son! Where is he?" She slammed her hands on the slab, causing the fragile looking nurse to jump up. She was pretty and beautifully small. Looking at the old lady, the nurse's eyes lit up. The tag on her scrub read "Anita Smith". It was obvious she was newly employed or just transferred. It wasn't everyday one got to meet such a big woman who made impacts in the country.

Her ears started to pick up on noise nearby and she could hear a distant conversation outside the door about blood pressure. It seemed like she was in hospital. She swung her heavy legs around and was about to attempt to stand when the door to her room opened. A female wearing a smart blue dress entered. She had a kind smile and looked happy to see her. “Please don’t get out of bed so soon by yourself,” she requested in a polite soft tone. “You’ve been through a lot. I will help you.” The woman approached and Clara saw from her nametag that the woman was a nurse called Anna. The name of the hospital had the word ‘royal’ in it.

Her eyes widened slightly when she saw the two men. "Oh! I’m sorry," she said, placing a hand over her chest. "I didn’t expect visitors at this hour." David and Matthew both looked up as they saw the nurse enter with a tray. "Good day, Sirs. I’m Nurse Angela. I came to give Dr. Emma her medication and check her vitals. It’s all part of her regular care." Matthew nodded while David watched her closely as she moved around the room, preparing an injection and gathering fresh gauze and antiseptic. She walked over to Emma’s bedside with the injection.

I had to go to the bathroom, and by the time I returned, the door was wide open, and whoever had been inside was gone. They must have snuck out while I was away. After my rounds, there was little left for me to do, so I decided to go into the break room and play some games on my phone to pass the time. I was so engrossed in the game that I barely noticed when the door opened. I glanced up, and there she was—Veronica Adams, the nurse. Veronica was attractive, with a figure that turned heads without even trying. Even in her nurse's uniform, there was something bold about her dressing. The fabric hugged her curves like a second skin, leaving little to the imagination.

that was all I heard before Rubby's voice came on. Rubby was offering to help her even after hearing her call? My fists clenched around my phone. Then that means the lady that had helped Rubby was Annie; guilt must have eaten her deep, and she decided to help. "Who the hell is behind this?" I muttered. Kevin? Or Josh? "She would be moved soon," a nurse announced. "Thank you," I muttered.

Jessica shouted, Anna smiled and walked to the car, she turned to Xavier. “You take care okay?” She said, Xavier nodded and they drove off. “Oh Jessy! You're really a life saver.” Anna giggled. ***** Anna got to work and dropped her bag in the nurses room. Sorry to introduce late, she is a pediatrician. Today is their Antenatal day and it's her turn to teach and advise pregnant mothers in the lesson room. She walked briskly to the room and greeted everyone.
