Sophie’s POV We finished our last exam today and are sitting in the theater room with our werewolf classmates celebrating the start of Christmas break. Dad got approval to keep Norbert. Yes, yes, I’m a Potterhead, leave it! Norbert isn’t one of those huge ten story, fire breathing dragons. He’s about 7-foot tall, crimson red, and only blows fire when I order him to. Well, me or Tony. Tony took a whole weekend to befriend and tame Norbert. They are now best buds. I think Norbert prefers Tony to me.

Surprisingly, his hand is stable as he proceeds to keep the cup on the side stool. “I don’t need tea, Tara,” he growls, “what I need is a hug.” Zeath looks at me with lazy eyes that beg me to embrace him. My heart urges me to succumb to his want. But my head says otherwise. “You need the tea, Mr. Lupin.” I give him the cup again. This time he obeys and grudgingly drinks from it, pouting as he closes his eyes while I gently pat his face with the wet cloth.

Orphans waiting for a new home. “I’m looking for Lily Anderson,” I told the receptionist. “Oh, Lily’s over in the gym,” she said, pointing down the hall. “She’s teaching the pups some exercises.” I walked down the corridor, my footsteps echoing in the empty space. And then I saw her. Lily was sitting among a group of werewolf pups, working on a puzzle with them. She was in her early twenties, with soft, curly brown hair and warm green eyes. And most importantly, she carried that scent I would never forget.

I could smell the burning hair in the memory. "But Tola saw the witch weeping," Love continued. Her voice dropped to a low, rhythmic drone. "She saw Aurora breaking from the grief. So Tola did something she should have never done. She had twins. A boy and a girl. She kept the girl, who was the very first werewolf. Half Lycan, half human." "And the boy?" I asked.

My eyes flew out of my sockets at that news. “What potion?” “Can I trust you not to tell anyone about this?” she asked, her eyes pleading. “I won’t, just my best friend,” I admitted. “No, please Luna, ma’am Lucy is not your friend, she’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing.” “I meant the lady you told to rest in the kitchen earlier.” “Oh, okay Luna.” She looked around the room, and then back to me. “Luna, you were given something to drink, and when you drank, you weren’t yourself.”

A dark look crosses Konstantin’s face, and he looks at me with a downturned smile. “Lily is a beta wolf, given to me by Fenriz of the Vega pack as a show of goodwill when our packs signed an accord. She’s been at my side for over ten years and worked as my PA at Fang; she’s scentless since she's half-human, and one hell of a fighter.” Konstantin chuckles then stops and pours himself another glass. I can tell that he is going somewhere with this, so I don’t interrupt him.

Not unless she wasn’t an ordinary pup. ‘It's Luna!’ the stone guardian blurted in my ear. I could feel her becoming less comfortable when this white wolf showed up from nowhere. I tilted my head, confusion fogging my mind. "From what pack is this Luna?" I blinked. The next thing I knew, the white wolf was now a human girl. Her body had mud and blood stains, and her clothes were worn out. She was fresh from a previous serious fight. "You need to stop this nonsense, Suzette. You have no right to harm any of the students in my school!"

I rolled on top of her, my stone eyes locked into her indigo gaze, and everything was as it should be for a fleeting moment. But then darkness descended- a disruption of shadows materialized around us. Rouges appeared, their presence starkly contrasted with the tranquillity we once knew. Lupin, my unwavering, fearless wolf, stood tall in his blue-black fur, ready to defend what was ours. There was nothing but emptiness to the right where Kimberly's white wolf should have stood.

From Nolan's point of view... Earlier that same day, the sun had not yet reached the highest point in the sky when Nolan ran through the forest, the paws of his lupine form touching the soft earth with lethal precision. The wind nipped at his muzzle, carrying with it the scents of the dense, damp forest, but he wasn't running alone. His most loyal friends accompanied him closely: Tiago, his future beta, Fredi, who would take on the role of gamma, and Diana, Fredi's sister, the brown-haired she-wolf with rare white spots that caught everyone's eye.

Grey finished. “That’s all interesting. There has only been one other time that I have heard of something like this happening. I was a little girl and the details are a bit hazy but I remember my old pack Luna having something like happen too. She was a very powerful Luna. She was half werewolf and half witch.” Gwen said taking a drink of her coffee. “Really?” I asked. ‘Can we tell her what I am?’ I mind linked my guys. ‘I think we can trust her not to say anything.’ Zayden said while Grey gave a slight nod.
