Amara’s PoV The wind suddenly stopped. Or perhaps…I stopped hearing it. A strange feeling crawled over me. The unmistakable sensation that someone was watching me. Slowly, I turned. The balcony was empty. Just stone railings, snow-covered mountains, and darkness stretching endlessly beyond the estate. I let out a shaky breath. You’re imagining things. After everything that had happened, it wouldn’t have been surprising. I turned back toward the mountains. A faint rustle sounded behind me.

An older man with a shock of wiry gray hair and a barrel chest, he looks a little intimidating. “Ladies and gentlemen, get settled. Class has officially started, and that was your first prompt. From now on in this class, you will hear that bell randomly. When you do, I want you to write down exactly what you were thinking at that moment. Whether you are intently concentrating on my lecture or thinking about clipping your toenails, I want the truth. I will be using this information for a study you all agreed to participate in by walking through those doors.” Everyone dutifully pulls out a piece of paper and starts to write down some comments. I was thinking about Noah when the bell sounded. N

September 14th Nothing about me is ever going to be right. Is it? Here I am trying to get through this shitty time, and everyone and everything is against me… Mia kept writing. She wrote more in her diary than she ever had done before. She was so engrossed, she didn’t notice that after a while, she was being watched. “Oh my god. You really keep getting more and more tragic, don’t you?” The sudden noise made Mia jump out of her seat with fright.

I should try understanding this entry a little later. I put down the paper and picked up another diary entry. And that's when I noticed that the previous entry I was reading doesn't have any year at it, and the fate format has changed. Compare to the one I am holding right now, the first one is very much more a rant but the date and time seems off… I just shrug my shoulder and proceed to read the other one. “9th of September, Year 1525. I saw it. I saw the entrance of the abyss.”

Wang Yi-An had been feeling unproductive since the alteration in her agenda. The agenda she had set up in her email was a schedule sent by Mr Han. If Mr Han was still her supervisor, she would attend and work on a photo-shoot right about now. However, she sat at a desk doing nothing, and out of boredom; she drew sketches of her environment. Yang Tian-Xu smiled at her, and said, “Yes, I had printed out a copy of your schedule. I will also email it to you later today.” “Thank you.” She replied as she received the single piece of the document. “But, I don’t need a copy.” Wang Yi-An has a photographic memory, with just one glance, she could remember it forever. Never have to look at it again.

Every day, the nature always waits for you with full of surprises as long as you remain optimistic about life. *** Qeiza woke up with the black rings circle her eyes, just as dark as panda’s eyes. Her whole body felt sore and she wasn’t excited. She didn’t know what time she eventually succumbed to sleepiness.

It was a new day, a brand new day but this time around, the morning sun wasn't out yet. The weather was in a mixed mood. It was as if the weather was also not happy about Mr. Evidence's situation. It was 7:00am in the morning but it looked as if it was 6am. The weather wasn't in a happy mood at all!

My eyes moved down the paper. “Age 7. Deep scrape on her knee after falling from the mango tree. By morning, almost no trace remained.” I frowned and turned the page. “ Age 9. Claimed Uncle Daniel had arrived ten minutes before his car reached the gate.” My pulse quickened, This was an observation journal on me , Each page had a picture of me at that particular age “ Age 11. Cornered by a stray dog. Did not run. Stared it down until it retreated.”

I jumped out of bed quickly and headed straight to my desk, picking my diary up out of the drawer. This diary was invaluable in managing my day-to-day life. I recorded my mood daily and a summary of the events of the day, I also kept track of official functions and pack-related affairs in there so I didn't forget a single thing. Every morning I wrote a list of the things that I needed to do that day. I turned to the page that should have held the list that I clearly remembered writing as soon as I woke up on the eve of my anniversary, but the page was blank.
