Breaking Her at Thanksgiving
With only the faint texture giving it away, allowing Ronan the opportunity to take in the rest of the tank.
The octopus was not alone.
There were fishes—four, from what he could count.
And for a moment, the tank was calm. The fish just swarm carefully at one side, leaving the octopus to the other, just minding their business.
Ronan already knew what was about to happen, but he waited, anyway.
And so did the octopus.
Then suddenly, arms snapped out in a swift strike, fluid seeping through the tank, closing around the fishes at once and folding it inward as quickly as it could.
