Old Gods Asoiaf Novels & Stories

"The guards at the dais are ours. One quick blade for the girl, a drink of hemlock for the Sovereign’s wine. Clean. Efficient. High-Crag reborn." I looked down at the elders. They looked so small from up here. So fragile. They were old men playing with fire, convinced that they were the masters of the flame. They didn't realize that the "scavenger" they despised was currently looking down at their exposed throats.

Minos continued, waving his arms around for full effect, "he blocked the sun and moon, and turned the oceans into a vast wasteland of tundra and ice." "Eon was the god of the sun, he didn't..." "Shush!" Minos was reaching to cover Cassana's mouth with his palms, the young woman swatted them off with annoyance. "And then with his army of monsters and fae-folk, he conquered the human kingdoms and enslaved all of humanity." "Technically, the fae-folk were enchanted, they didn't do it out of their own free-will." "Can you just, let me finish?" Minos said.

The world building of Illuminating Darkness is kinda weird in some aspect, but lore must be quite superb because it became a popular book. “His heart turned into the dragons; His kidneys turned into the Elves; His ears turned into beast people; His liver turned into mystical creatures; His brain turned into dwarves. His spirit became the seven orthodox Gods, and His knowledge gave birth to humanity.” continuing this while still looking outside. Seven orthodox Gods? Wait! Aren't the official churches of the Avalor Kingdom involved in that!?

Factions were retreating into tighter formations Even Maelis had drawn a line around her warriors with bone-dust and ash—a rogue protection ward meant to resist divine interference Not from Virex From me I couldn’t blame them Two marks now pulsed on my body Two names no one dared speak unless they wanted dreams to bleed into waking hours And worst of all I could feel something building behind the veil Not an attack A decision Like the gods—or what remained of them—were watching and waiting to see if I would align with what had risen from the sky Or the flame I had already claimed Soren returned with his findings by dusk He laid down a map burned with lines of violet ash and silver ink “This,

Azrael said, leaving the home and walking through the driveway lined with oak trees. Seeing Maia again brought memories of the great war between the Angels and old Gods. His sworn duty was to kill all of the old Gods so they would fade into history and only be remembered as legends. Goddess Maia fought hard and led the last rebelling Gods in the final war. Golden blood flowed like rivers after the battle. He could still see the woman looking at him with ultimate hatred. Since it was he who betrayed her kindness and love. Azrael continued to walk out of the main gate and ended in a deserted park where his gaze came upon the full moon in the sky.

"Yes. Yes, old mistress. Please tell me the rest. You always cut the story short at this part." A thin arched slithered on the old lady's lips. "Do you know Antasi?" "Oh, the first and the chief of gods in the pantheon? He's dead, right?" Lili answered. " The father of the gods. What of him?" "He was the man who stole the dragon's heart of magic." The old lady whispered silently into Lili's ears. "And after he stole the heart of magic and killed the dragon princess, all the dragons went mad and wreaked havoc through all human realms in search of the wicked one."

- I make a sound of disgust and disgust- think I'm going to throw up. -I had to cure it, you know, it was not pleasant to put soap and water on that thing- Scott says indignantly- On top of that he hit me. -Did you just put soap and water on it?- I ask, looking through the holes in my hand to see if the slaughterhouse has come down. And as it is, I completely uncover my eyes. Azael has his arms folded behind his head and his eyes closed. -Yes. -Not sell, or anything?- I ask with wide eyes.

But something else had found them first. Theoden stopped suddenly, his hand raised. They weren’t alone. Figures emerged from the forest—six of them. All tall, cloaked in deep black, their presence wrong. Ancient. The smell of old magic rolled from them in waves. Their eyes glowed white—not with life, but with memory. Memory of a time before rules, before balance. Elders. Theoden snarled. “Run.” But it was already too late. They moved like lightning. One Elder struck Luka first, sending him crashing into a tree with a sickening crack. Darius lunged toward him, only to be thrown aside like a rag doll. They didn’t stop to finish either kill. The warriors weren’t their target.

“Well, there were twelve gods and goddesses, I killed three and you killed one, leaving them with eight. There is Ramiel, god of thunder, Haziah, god of Ice, Selene, goddess of Love, Azura, goddess of water, Hades, god of the underworld, Alinta, goddess of flame, Aron, god of Hate and Noel, god of Earth.” “I see,” Asher nodded, “those are the ones still alive, right?” he asked and Alaric nodded. “Pardon me but how are you planning to go about the war with Ramiel? Sorry, Mariah told me your story,” he added when he saw Alaric’s shocked gaze. “Oh, she did.”

The olc had chosen it for their home based on the rumor that it once belonged to the evil king, Righ. Their entire religion was based on worshiping Righ as a war God. He fused with the world's magic and surpassed even the Celestials in power, which made him all-powerful in their eyes. According to Blake, the Olc were preparing for Righ's day, walking among them again. “And on the grounds within the outer walls, there is a small development of homes where people who believe in the olc teachings have set up a certain kind of life. So I would stay inside the monastery. It is safer. They don’t let just anyone inside.”
