*Meadow* I keep my mind focused; I am here to see mom and that is all I am going to think of. I walk between the old graves and I find my mom's where I kneel and sigh. "Hi, mom…" It has been quite disturbing; not knowing what is threatening us only makes our lives more difficult. As if finding some sort of balance with humans wasn't hard enough. To have my children so far and it makes me homesick; only Caleb's love keeps my sanity. My phone rings for the third time, I check again and, just as before, I see Caly trying to reach me. I will call her back when I am done, my mother is right now my priority.

I said. “I am taking some valuables we can give them as bribes,” answered Mom. “Now hurry!” After loading Mom’s SUV, we began our journey. It was going to be a long drive, so we agreed to take turns behind the wheel. I took the first turn, and Mom sat next to me. “What was the name of the town we’re going to? I forgot,” I asked Mom, five minutes into driving. She didn’t answer, so I turned my neck to look at her, and that’s when she collapsed.

"Mom..." That was the first word he said after he opened his eyes miraculously. Those orbs that I had missed so bad glinted with unshed tears as he stared at me like I was his long lost trophy. I had thought he was probably still lost in his head when he voiced out that short endearment but my conclusion changed when he called out with longing. "Mom!" Zachary cried as he struggled to stretch his hands like he was trying to reach out to someone. Mom? Was he seeing things? Illusions maybe? I turned slowly to look behind me if someone was actually there but Alpha Zachary's mom wasn't there... in fact, there was no one except him and me in his chambers at that moment. Solana's POV I stood in the room, gazing at him, but the pain in his eyes became too much to bear so I walked away and decided to leave his hotel. I hailed a taxi and instead of heading to Dad's house, I asked the driver to take me to the cemetery where Mom was buried. After a few minutes, I arrived at the cemetery. Taking a deep breath, I stepped out of the vehicle. As I walked inside, I found my way to Mom's tomb after a short walk.

I stop a cab; and I got in; I ask the driver to take me back home; the man nods, and he obediently gave me a smooth ride back to the house… At the front door; I saw mom talking with Mr. Daniel; they seem to be having a lot to talk about; but they stopped to say anything; when mom saw me coming their way with my bag, hung behind my back… Mom left Mr. Daniel; she held my shoulder with both of her hand, and brought me in for a hug; a tight one… I looked at Mr. Daniel; confused; as fuck; I pull away from her; I ask Mom, if everything was alright, at first, I notice how gloomier, her eyes got; but she cheered up; she brought out my hand, and pushed me towards to the direction of the kitchen…

Chapter 5 Zoe’s POV I ran and walked for a long time before I was finally able to spot the road. I was already tired and breathing heavily. Mum had kept me hidden in a jungle. I looked around and noticed the road was so beautiful but quiet and is surrounded by trees... Gosh! I can’t believe I’m outside. I looked at the blue sky and smiled. It was so beautiful and I considered it a blessing that I was able to witness it. But there was a little problem. How do I leave this place? The road was so quiet and deserted. How do I get to see the other parts of the world?

It doesn't bother me to be home alone; then I can just relax and do nothing for once. Despite the rain the air is calm and it feels hot and sticky. After a while I just can't stand it any longer and I decide to open all the windows, trying to air out the house. When I open the window in my mom's room I catch a glimpse of someone standing by the curb. My whole body reacts when I recognize him.
