The words made no sense, like he'd suddenly started speaking a foreign language. "Supreme what?! What do you even mean by that? Who is that?!" Daekan let out a long, heavy, exasperated sigh that sounded like wind rushing through a canyon. Even in his submission, he managed to sound annoyed with me. Typical. "You are an actual idiot, Zane. It is a truly powerful gift from the moon goddess." When he finished, Lucas was still taking everything in. So Ava was his? And he was going to spend the rest of his life with her? Finally, at six thirty, there was a knock on the door. I stood to open it, and a huge bouquet blocked my view. It was camellias, my favorite flower. Even though my severe allergies and past surgery meant I could barely smell anything, I couldn't help but smile. Harry stood at the back of the group, his gaze gentle, his voice steady. "I love you, Selena." I moved through the crowd, almost running into his arms. "I love you too." But the next second, he didn't hug me back. Instead, he shoved me away with force.

"You cheated and fell in love with someone else. I'm just giving you the freedom to be with her openly. Isn't that what you wanted?" "I didn't cheat! I don't even like Rachel! I was just jealous you used to have feelings for Sebastian, and now you're working with him every day. I only used Rachel to piss you off." Joel, too, looked torn apart by guilt as he turned to me. While she agitatedly pounded on the door, I put on my headphones and listened to music, acting like I couldn't hear anything. Half an hour later, she sent me a long message. "I'm so sorry, Landon. I sincerely apologize. I've called Jaxon over, too. Open the door so he can apologize to you." I opened the door to find Jaxon on his knees. It seemed like he was really going all out. "It was all my fault, Mr. Chase. I had no idea you were allergic to lilies, and I shouldn't have accepted Ms. Miller's gift. I'll return it. If you still can't stand the sight of me, I'll resign."

I was even thinking of inviting you to Camelia's and my wedding.” I quietly stared at him like I was watching a clown make a fool of himself. Sure enough, my gaze irritated him. “You think Camelia’s going to stay faithful to you after you die? Dream on! Look at you. You’re pathetic. You were never worthy of her!” I smiled after he finished saying those words. Camelia was standing at the doorway, and she heard every word Grayson said. She had gone to get me some water. Clearly, she had not known Grayson would be coming.
