Serafino would come with me. Perhaps because the wounds had finally healed, I slept soundly. I stretched, about to get up and make breakfast, when I heard a soft knock. "Leona?" It was Serafino's voice. I threw on a silk robe and opened the door, stunned by the sight before me. Serafino stood there holding a huge bouquet of edelweiss—the most difficult flower to find in these harsh mountains. He wore a deep blue cashmere coat, his eyes overflowing with tenderness.

I gently stood up and gazed at the vibrant yellow, crimson, and orange autumn leaves, some of which were still clinging to the last hope of another summer day. However, the most of them had already given up and were either dancing slowly in the breeze or resting on the ground.

Author POV:- It was coming into autumn. Trees' leaves were turning a variety of shades - gold, orange, red, and some remained green, but not for long. Some trees were starting to become bare whilst others still tried to flourish. The ground was covered in dead leaves. Piles of leaves were scattered all over campus - you really couldn't go a day without seeing maintenance raking up newly-fallen leaves.

The surroundings were colder and the wind danced around the long grass, trees, mountains, and people, making them shiver and stammer within their sentences. One after another autumn leaves fall from the tree after losing all their life. Until a slender and soft hand caught one of the dead leaves between her delicate fingers. She brought the leaf near her nose and sniffed it, it had an earthly scent. She smiled and let go of the leaf as soon as a gust of wind stroked her delicate figure. The leaf flew away with the wind and she watched it. Her long black hair swayed with the wind continuously. A gentle smile on her face as she looked around the lake with her gentle eyes.

Lisa was sitting lifelessly on her seat, looking out of the window. It was the month of october, the true starts of the month of fall. The leaves dance from branch to ground, each a colorful flag without any strings or pole, free to roam. People feel the breeze, rich with the aroma of the earth, the keeper of the seeds, for the springtime to come. There is calmness, as if all the gold, berry-reds and brown that flutter about is a cozy quilt, bringing everyone the same piece as the night time.

Fall is always one of my favorite times of the year. There’s just something about how beautiful Manhattan looks as it prepares for another cold winter that captivates me. Fallen leaves crunch under our feet as the breeze wraps around our cheeks in a way that isn’t too cold but actually refreshing. “What do you propose we talk about?” she asks, returning a smile from a woman pushing a stroller.

I obliged, pulling off onto the grassy strip that bordered the road. Leaves crunched under my feet as I wandered outside, watching as red leaves fell from a maple, dancing across the sky. We were at the edges of Redmont in the backwaters of civilization. The woods spread out like a cathedral, stately oaks and proud elm mingled together in the old-growth forest that flamed with autumn. I lingered, and the air moved ever so lightly as Morocco brushed against me, forearm meeting my shoulder as he leaned back against the car, following my gaze.
