POV: Lena Moretti The cabin had one bed. Not because anyone planned it that way. Because it was a cabin in the woods with one bedroom and one bathroom and a kitchen that was really just a counter with a hotplate. Naomi had secured whatever was available on short notice and available meant small and simple and equipped for one person, not two.

It's beautiful in a way that feels fake — like a postcard, like somewhere people go to pretend their lives aren't falling apart. "There's only one bedroom," Hana says as she leads us inside. Celeste raises an eyebrow. "Convenient." "The property was designed for emergency use, not romantic getaways." Hana's expression doesn't change. "There's a couch in the living room. One of you can sleep there." "No," Celeste says. "No?" "Neither of us is sleeping on a couch. We're both exhausted, we've both been through a traumatic experience, and we're both adults." She looks at me. "We can share a bed without it being a production."

“Big family reunion in town. You two are lucky I had anything at all.” Bianca and I exchanged a glance. One room? One bed? I was completely taken aback to see the way she was twisting the truth around like that. "You're the one who attempted to steal my bed, Vanessa. I still have the photos I took this morning after setting up the bed. Do you need me to show them to you?"

We located our room quickly and I scowled as I stormed up to it, swiped the key card and pushed it open. The room was nice, I’d give it that. Modern décor, clean linens, and a decent view of the city. But my appreciation for the space evaporated the moment I saw the bed. One bed. A king, yes, but still only one. Matteo set his bag down by the door and surveyed the room with a low whistle. “Not bad. I’ve stayed in worse places.” “Good for you,” I said, walking over to the bed. “I’ll take the couch.”

Once I finally got my eyes to open, I turned my neck slowly to look around me, but there was no one.

Third Person POV Nicklaus walks into his bedroom, he frown at how scattered his blanket and sheets are. But he’s too tired to complain, he takes off his suit and toss it on a couch.. he kicks his shoes off and falls on the bed.
