ONE WILD NIGHT
The note wasn’t signed.
I plugged the drive into Margaret’s laptop, my stomach tight with dread. A folder opened—no passwords, no encryption. Just one video file named PROJECT SERAPHIM.
I clicked play.
The screen filled with a grainy recording. A conference room. Four men in suits. One of them—recognizable even through the distortion—was Charles Henderson.
He was speaking to a group, his voice calm, confident, inhumanly cold.
“Our expansion phase begins in three weeks. The Monaco event will act as both fundraiser and demonstration. After that, the new network will launch under Seraphim Logistics. No longer fragmented. One system, one pipeline.”
