On those words that had stabbed themselves into my mind and heart without any intention of leaving: I love you. I couldn’t get that out of my head because I felt the same way he did, and I wanted to scream it back to him. He didn’t hear me when I said it. We had the perfect moment to admit that what we felt was mutual, but then he fell asleep. It was as if Jake wasn’t meant to hear it. “Kiara,” I heard Thomas call from the kitchen, “do you want tea?” It took me a second to react. “No, thank you,” I answered.

But. I was still hoping I guess, that we would be able to work it out. I couldn't hate him, even when I had every reason to. After all, he was the only man I had ever loved. And he was the only man I was going to love. Because the heart is a bitch, you can't make it understand by reasoning with it. It forgets all the hurt someone caused you, all the pain, all the misery. It only remembers those moments when someone made you breathless. Over and over, it just runs toward one person. And unfortunately for me, that one person was Landon.

Anthony's eyes were full of concern and affection. “ Sorry, honey. I got distracted for a bit.” Danielle apologized immediately. “ It seems you're so attached with them. Is your heart being stolen away from me now, my love?” Anthony was suppressing his pride but he felt hurt as well. Stretching her arms, Danielle touched his face and leaned forward to give him a kiss. “ You're the only one for me. I love you!” She said with all her heart.

" Sorry. I got lost in thought again." I know what I need to say. No matter how much I loved both of them, one stood higher than the other. I said I loved both of them but I only have one heart. It could only belong to one. " I love Ryder. It's him. From the day I stepped into my new house and meet him as a neighbour." I let the truth out to her and heard my voice say it loud. I have kept it to myself for days and now it has to be known to both of them.

Chapter 16: The New Beginning As Uno spoke, Tangerine could feel the weight of the day beginning to lift from her shoulders. She looked into his eyes and saw the depth of his love and knew that no matter what, they would face whatever came their way together. "Uno, I love you too," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Uno reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box. "Tangerine, I know that this isn't the time or place that we had imagined, but I want to make things right. Will you marry me?"

I say as we head to our getaway wrapping my arms around my loves and pulling them close. THE END

Nima picked the jewelry and she said, "You're so lucky to have a man who buys you such nice stuff." Her countenance is sober and sad. "What do you mean Nima?"
