He said. So I walked over to my desk on the other side of the room and I turned the computer on. I logging in and I started hacking into the dark web immediately and immediately I started looking at all different chatter that was happening. But none of it was vampires. It was all about the town that was taken out, but it was mostly werewolves talking about it. Communicating with other packs to try and find out more information. I’m searching on the web for hours without even realizing it when someone knocks on the door.

"Then it can be someone else, dammit! What if they can control you like Roderick does with the others?" Nathan shook his head. "I think that's a specialty reserved for my father. Don't you think we'd know by now if vampires could control wolves? We've heard plenty of stories about it happening to humans." "Old wives' tales and legends that, up until a few years ago, we thought were make-believe." "But as you well know, most legends have a kernel of truth. I believe the vampires have no use for us because they can't control us. Roderick is an anomaly because he started out as a Lycan."

The drama that was playing on the stage was about the little boy who , a special born who killed his mother, the Luna of the pack. " I hope we are following." Ruckus said, eyeing Derek. He smiled. It was obvious Derek was getting uncomfortable. " The story is about a young special born wolf who took the life of his own mother. " " That's strange." Alpha of the blood river pack said. " Quite sad. The boy mus be a curse to the pack." Ruckus giggled. " I bet he is. Someone like that gas to be a monster that will keep killing without stopping. " He eyed Derek.

Alex opened his eyes, even though it was only lit by the light from the moon coming in through my bedroom window I could still see the color of his eyes. "What are they doing?" "Ah ... Werewolves are creatures that need a pack, just like a pack. And sometimes not having a pack can make the werewolf a little frustrated to the point of going crazy, rogues often attack pack members, even injure them. They are dangerous, Cara. Sometimes they even form herd of fellow rogues to attack the pack." Alex yawned as he finished explaining it to me, his face looking very tired. "Oh ... " I replied while yawning, "I have to go to school tomorrow, I guess I should continue my sleep."

Leah also gave a look of disapproval. "Callie, I agree with them. I just wasted my time." I got up when I remembered that I was on my way to the garden. "What? Those stories are pretty lame, to begin with." "Not when nana tells them." The kids retorted. Nana arrived soon to tell a different version of the first werewolf that happened in Egypt where people considered shapeshifting a gift and not a curse. I grew up listening to nana's stories, about demon kings and dragon queens and all things fantasy. My all-time favorite was the story of my mother, except for the part where she dies.

You'll understand this more as you read the book! In addition, I only use the term 'werewolf' in this story but they are not the traditional lore that is 'cursed' or a 'beast'. They are more of shifters, like of lycans who can control their transformations from humans to wolves or vice versa. To put it simply, they are like the 'wolves' of Twilight with special gifts so I call them werewolves in this book. Thank you and enjoy reading!

"Lycans? You interested in werewolves?" "Not really. More like browsing, seeing what's out there. I saw Viktor book and got curious. This website, Lycan Links, seems pretty legit. They list fictional stories, have a whole 'myths and facts' section, even FAQs." I snorted, pointing at the screen. "Look at this! They have sections to help werewolves find jobs, doctors, you name it. Of course, I can't access most of it since my werewolf application is still pending." Beth squinted at the page. "You didn't actually fill it out with all your real info, did you?"
