Chapter twenty three Hazel I opened my eyes to the sound of my alarm, I have already snoozed it for three times and I knew I shouldn’t snooze it again otherwise I would be late for work. Time had lost all meaning since I’d overheard the truth. When I was certain he wouldn’t wake, I slipped from the bed and padded silently down the hallway to Charlotte’s room. From afar, he spotted a sign that read: “Hope Hospital.” Without wasting a single second, he dashed toward the hospital and pushed the door open forcefully. Everyone inside panicked, but he paid them no attention. He quickly searched for a doctor, then briefly explained what had happened. The doctor’s eyes widened in shock before glaring at him angrily. “Why didn’t you bring her sooner?! Were you waiting for her to die?!” Gabriel’s eyes flashed sharply, and he growled at him:
