Charlie teases after she plants a kiss on her best-friend's cheek. "That asshole called me in to work today. I'm going there after this," Charlie laughs, the 'colourful' honorifics Dee calls her boss not surprising her one bit. "Yikes! How many hours do you have?" "Roughly 2-3 but whatever. That dude can choke on his own balls for all I care," Dee rolls her eyes before waving the waiter over. After they place their order, Dee folds her hands on the table and looks at Charlie with so much intensity.

"And when I do, I expect you to be ready for me." The door clicked shut behind him, leaving me trembling in the aftermath of his touch. I couldn't believe what had just happened. A part of me was disgusted, horrified at the thought of my boss taking such liberties with me. But another part, a darker, more primal part, was thrilled by the idea of being desired so intensely.

“You’ll survive. And I promise, you’ll thank me in the end.” I let out a long, dramatic sigh. “Fine. I’ll do it.” His grin widened. “Not like you had a choice anyway. I’m still your boss.” I rolled my eyes and walked out of his office preparing myself for my new job .

I interrupted him and screamed “Yes. I mean I don’t even know who he is…” He interrupted me “You don’t know who the boss is?” “Yes; Why? Is he really mean or something?” I asked hopping for a positive answer. And his answer did make me feel better again. He said “Don’t worry newbie. The boss is really cool and handsome and kind and really understanding. Plus I am very sure the boss is going to be late too.” “How do you know he is going to be late?” I stopped panicking and asked a question out of curiosity.

“So that’s the title now right? Boss! You’re sleeping with your boss now hmm?” “What? Sleep with my boss? Mike?” She gave a dry laugh. “That’s so funny, Tom. There is nothing like that and if you will be calm enough and think about it, you will know it’s not possible. If I would date or sleep with someone, it wouldn’t be my boss. I have told you many times, he is too boring and strait-laced, I wonder if he is sleeping with anyone. So stop this and let’s have our dinner,I forgot to have lunch and I’m so hungry.”

"I know this would sound crazy because a lot of people don’t believe in supernatural stuff, but our boss has special abilities so he can appear at work whenever he wants, and Deacon is a dragon." I fall on the kitchen island and clasp my chin. "It's CJ." "What about him?" Asks Dee as she toasts the bread on the toaster. "He made me promise never to text or call him again," I say angrily. Ren and Dee look at me in astonishment. "Is that the boss that Dee said is head over heels in love with you?" Asks Ren, gazing at me. I roll my eyes. "Dee told you already???" Dee huffs. "Why is your boss such an asshole? He was such a sweetheart last night! And now he's asking you never to call him again! The nerve!"
