The man crumpled, blood spraying across the worn floorboards.
“Clean them up for me,” he commanded to Knight, shielding them with his body.
But more came, and the fight raged on, the night swallowing them whole. Zeus knew this was just the beginning — the real villain waited in the shadows, and his empire teetered on the edge.
Knight was already in position, perched on the roof's edge outside, his sniper rifle picking off targets with deadly accuracy.
“Three down,” Knight's voice crackled through the earpiece, calm and detached. “More coming from the east wing. Kids are clear for now.”
