Yikes "You have wings too?" I ask Aylin and she nods before huge black wings appear behind her. Hers are membranous and resemble bat wings. Her wings seem to absorb what small light there is, and nothing shines off of them, like the blackness of them overpowers any kind of light. She flaps her wings once, before she jumps and lets them carry her upwards. She makes it look effortless.

Zephyr screamed from the prow. Saoirse looked up. diving from the cloud layer above them were three shapes. They looked like birds, but they were too big, too angular. Their wings didn't flap; they locked into place. "Iron-Wings!" Vane cursed, spinning the wheel. "Imperial Interceptors! They’re mechanized wyverns!" The creatures shrieked—a sound of tearing metal. They were biological horrors, wyverns that had been flayed and fitted with jet turbines on their wings and cannons in their mouths.

Then, the miracle happened. The twins didn't panic. They looked at each other, their violet and emerald light merging into a brilliant, metallic gold. They didn't blink or levitate; they expanded. A pair of massive, translucent wings—one violet, one emerald—erupted from the "Twin-Storm." They weren't bird wings; they were wings made of pure, solidified aurora. They caught the wind, the descent slowing instantly. Félix looked up, his eyes wide with shock, as his children literally carried him through the air. I flared my own kinetic power, gliding down to meet them.

However, if she did have them and they made her happy then I would be happy for her. Minutes passed by and then finally they emerged behind her; exactly as I remembered them. They were large; far bigger than her and she held them awkwardly so the tips wouldn't touch the ground. Unfurled, they were more than six feet long; its shape resembling more of a light angel's wings. It looked very similar to mine except in a different color. Her eyelids peeled open, revealing her obsidian eyes, and once again all I could sense was a wave of hostility and ruthlessness coming off her. I didn't mention it though because the beaming smile on her face let me know that she loved having her wings.

All eyes were on the star's ascension, watching it unfolded into bursting wings of light. Lars has transformed into a white armored angel with six divine wings hovering behind his back, connected by a golden halo. The armor was his own solidified Scion Force, sparkling in majestic grandeur of white and gold. A sword patterned crown rested on Lars' head, having the same royal pattern as his brilliantly burning Celestial Calibur.

Adrian was breathing heavily. His chest rose with each heavy breath he took, his enormous wings behind him swaying softly. I stared at him with wide eyes. I've never seen anything like it. The wings tore through his shirt, so he was standing in front of us with his chest bare, his muscles on show.

And the hope to win this battle seemed to fade little by little.
