MAD END'S DECEPTION

MAD END'S DECEPTION

He looked to be wearing a gilded armor blessed by the divine light. Fire flowed along the ridges of his spine like living silk, pouring from one spiked crest to the next in bright rivers. His eyes, twin orbs of black and gold, became deeper and blazing all at once, like eclipsed suns lit from within. His wings alone could have undone her breath. The first pair was his usual vast and draconic wings, built of muscle and scale and force enough to rend the storm apart. The second pair shone behind them like a holy afterimage.

Wanderers Of the Night

Wanderers Of the Night

There was only a long thud of air as the something suddenly unfolded into fairly large leathery wings. Vic shook his head in panic, turned several times, trying to see the innovation. The wings did not want to gather back - they stuck out straightened on the sides. He forced himself to calm down and freeze in place, too stupid to spin naked on the lakeshore. This is not a tail, a tail would probably interfere more. After a very short flight over the forest, the wings were no longer such a surprise. You just need to learn how to manage them. He moved his shoulder blades again and tried to feel them, imagining that it should feel like body parts - just like arms or legs. After several unsucces

The Alpha Protocol

The Alpha Protocol

The Emerald Green Light pulsated instantly, warm and powerful, a lively pulse that comes directly from the Healed Earth was led through the Typhon Synode in our Rover. “Gravitations-Rotoren to eighty percent,” I ordered. “Nova, secure the upper Platforms. Silas, keep the cryogenic values in the eye. We fly into the shadows.” I ripped the copper levers forward. The steel coils came out loudly from the Platform of flying basar. The new carbonium wings started the first sharp gusts of west wind, bend smoothly and catapulted us with breathtaking speed directly into the pale cloud formations.

Sold to the Disfigured Billionaire

Sold to the Disfigured Billionaire

"The wings generate their shields! Clip them, and they die like anything else!" Elias Vance didn't need to be told twice. The disgraced RAF pilot spun his Vanguard mech into a sickening, zero-gravity barrel roll, dodging a volley of plasma fire. He extended his high-frequency blades, slicing flawlessly through the glowing wings of two golden drones. As their wings severed, the drones’ golden armor instantly turned a dead, dull grey. They floated away into the void, completely depowered. "We can bleed them!" Elias shouted, a wild, adrenaline-fueled grin spreading across his face. "Keep pushing!"

Rise of The Fallen

Rise of The Fallen

She looked thoughtful and then nodded. “Ok, I will see your Commander.” As I walked back to the truck it occurred to me that Usel was probably the same “rank” as Commander Ryan. We drove to where she was, and at the sight of her close up, her wings now on display; a pang of awe went through me. She truly was beautiful. Her body honed with lean muscle, golden eyes in contrast against her smooth, dark skin. Usel’s waist length curls blew in the breeze causing the silver ornaments in her hair to chime as they struck each other. Her father’s wings were of the purest white, but Usel’s were tinged with a light blue, not all of them but more of an iridescent blue; so that they changed with her move

The Hunt For Freedom

The Hunt For Freedom

As he lays there not moving I saw two of his muscular goons come quickly to his side. As one stands watch, the other shifts. Before me stands the most magnificent creature I have ever witnessed. As he unfurls his wings he stands more than seven feet tall. His wings are an electric blue that deepens to saphire as the color travels down his body. His scales are in shades of indigo and deep violet. He is breathtaking. The muscle bound creature picks up the fallen leader, lets out a terryifing screech, and takes to the skies. In an instant he is gone from sight.

The Exiled Dragon

The Exiled Dragon

Her wings fell back into her body, screaming. Covering my mouth, a sob wrecked through me. I had forgotten she would feel the pain, too. Too worried about watching Mortus breathe his last breaths. The warrior, his eyes solemn with pity, gently gathered her in his arms, picked her up. Her head leaned into his chest, gripping his uniform. “Leave me,” she cried again. Wings sprung forth from his body, shaking his head. His wings hummed in the pattern of a hummingbird and took flight to the palace.

I love Veronica’s all books but Creed is so, so special! I also love that there is no unnecessary cheating, tragedy, horror but is exciting, detailed, vibrant and show a lot of kindness and love between the characters. The villains always got what they deserve and the love always win!

Everlasting Fire

Everlasting Fire

I turned my gaze as he stripped off his shirt and pants. The sound of bones breaking filled the air. A loud thud was the only signal I needed to know I could look up. I stared at Ophir in awe. At night it was hard to see how truly magnificent he was. His wings could easily stretch across our training field. Two claws sat on the peaks of both wings. His scales were as black as the night sky. His black horns on top of his head pointed backwards more and stuck out the sides of his lower jaw. Spikes poked out of his chin, and some ran up each of his legs. The scales of his wings looked like feathers. He laid on the ground tucking his wings beside him. His black claws dug into the dark earth.

Blackcrusthatchet ch 15
His fuse blew up, instantly. “Screw this!” A Jet-Black Armor manifested around his body. He kicked the gate into smithereens jumped out of the vehicle. Other passengers who were busy contacting their families saw a black-armored man jumping out of the levitating vehicle. The interesting fact was the armored man did not fall to the ground. In fact, he dashed through the sky like a black meteorite. Creed did not understand if this was his luck or coincidence that he had received such a useful Soul-Armas just before the time of crisis. The moment he called Aves Wings, his back grew a pair of wings almost instantly. Its shape was almost like the wings of a dragon.

Still coming along nicely. The Archie plot has hot a good point. I feel there is more to come with Rain in the story and I like that. It is good to acknowledge the news spread of his accomplishments beating down Archie, but I would shorten the side conversations of the random people.

I'm honestly surprised that this story doesn't have more views and reviews. It's well-written, moves at a relaxing pace and the author did an amazing job with the descriptions. The characters has great depth, personalities that stand out. It is also clean and well-edited.

Mated to the Wolf and Dragon

Mated to the Wolf and Dragon

Amanda Blightthe crimson lady
It was almost as long as his body, though it felt quite light and flexible, ending parallel to the ground in a flat diamond shape. His wings had all but disappeared against his back. He opened them to get a better look and wasn't disappointed. They looked almost exactly like bat wings, although the 'arm' part was also covered in scales. The membrane of the wings looked just like skin, the top a steel gray color and underneath a much lighter gray-blue. The membrane stretched from his shoulders down to just below his hip.
