"Boom! Boom!" A pair of deafening explosions resounded. As soon as the magic-imbued weapons came in contact with Chu Xun's fist-like energy bolts, the resulting shockwave nearly caused internal injuries to the two old Wingeds, as their weapons were blasted out of their grip and they both began falling. In their panic, the two Wingeds tried to regain their stability in the air, but to no avail. They continued plummeting to the ground. "Whoosh!" The Tenth Presbyter could stomach it no longer. With a powerful beat of his wings, he sped after his subordinates, raising an arm to cast strange white globs of light that expanded into a sudden rush of white light to cushion the fall of his men.

I see the scatter of people below fall to their knees in submission. He lowers his head and I see his wings begin to shrink, the scales down his back glittering magnificently, and I watch as his wings retract into his back and the large gashes where his wings once were close up. His scales disappear, simply leaving the imprint that is usually there.

Each placement needed careful judgment and tedious work. The Astoria wings came first, its huge skeletal 'wingbones' flaring impressively outwards, making the Fantasia appear like a fallen angel. Its combination of thrusters and antigravity systems meant the wings had been designed to maximize its surface area. This also made it easy to damage, as any casual hit could reduce the component's performance and ground the mech.

Mane had just employed one of those many moves: Exploding Wings. Mane’s mumble was the trigger for the huge fiery wings that grew on his back. The wings were several dozens of meters long and several meters wide. When they appeared on Mane’s back they rose high into the sky, and flapped rapidly. Yet their beating didn’t lift Mane up or take him into the sky. With the beating of those wings, the cry of a Phoenix filled the ears of all who were here, and several large flames descended upon the retreating goblins, burning them all to a crisp. The fire was stronger, completely eliminating the goblins in less than a second.

They moved skillfully, and quickly, opting to fight opponents that had still been in human form. Ambrosia fought just the same but had Tiana and Zephyr as back up. This allowed her to fight wolves as well. Zephyr's white wings were beautiful and almost blinding. I wished I could have had more time to take in their enthralling, majestic beauty. One look at them had you in a daze. I reluctantly tore my eyes away from them to look at Tiana's wings. It resembled a butterfly's with multicolors, the most prominent being bronze and gold.

Its surface was covered in heavy armored plating, and dotted with multiple sensor clusters and powerful maneuvering thrusters all around. Wrapped around the core was a sleek crescent “wing” that housed the potent main thrusters, as well as the fighter’s multiple systems and modules. The crescent wing itself wasn’t directly attached to the core - instead it floated around it, suspended by both antigravity and electromagnetic forces. The wing twisted and spun and rotated around the core as it maneuvered with overwhelming speed and precise agility.

I have never seen such beautiful wings in my entire life. His crimson-red wings are described as metallic with each feather sharp like a precision blade. Each feather/blade has the top part crimson with the hairs or fibres sticking out of the sides, while the end of the blade itself is black. I really envy him. Why does he have to have such beautiful wings? Why is mine not like his? I cried in my mind and again looked up at him. He was waiting for me to go up. So I spread my wings too and flew up to complete the rest of the fight.

The war raged on. But around him… it began to feel distant. His gaze hardened, steady and absolute. “Because this…” A beat… The air itself seemed to tighten. “…is the last time this war breathes.” And then… He moved. Power didn’t just surge… it broke loose. His form shifted violently. Wings tore free into existence, vast and consuming, unfurling with a force that seemed to split the very air apart. Dark… immense… they stretched wide as if they had always belonged there, only now choosing to be seen.

My eyes watered just staring at them. He lifted up from me, placing his hands on his waist and trying to strike a pose. He looked majestic, like a god. "What do you think, huh? Wanna do it with my wings out? That's very kinky of you, Cross-" His wings fluttered with great winds- Wings… Two… wings? "Why do you have two?” A/N: I'm back.

I said dropping a feather to glide downwards. A murmured growl acknowledged the hit, he apparently already knew. That growl gave me goose bumps. I watched in relief as he walked over by the door to grab the discarded pie bag and spilt coffee cup. Coffee had leaked out and made little tree root designs along the floor. I felt bad about that but he started it. Standing up he looked at me where I was perched. "Well, you are definitely not an Angel, not with those dirty wings, but, you're not simple, I'll give you that." The dig on my wings stung, they weren't the pretty ethereal white of an Angels but resembled melted cookies and cream ice cream.
