I couldn't help but whimper at what I saw. While my face seemed okay, and I could see alright, my eyes had an eerie, clouded over appearance to them. I turned to get a look at my torso and whimpered at the sight of the bones of my ribcage sticking out from my skin, hollowed out, my organs able to be seen through my bones. Bile rose to my throat and I began to gag at how horrifying it was to see my innards revealed like that. My skin was broken in patches throughout my body like this, including on two of my legs. I whimpered. I got my wolf back, but she was exactly as Tyce said—a wolf that had risen from the dead, as if I were in a horror movie. I couldn't go out in public like this.

"She is manipulating you. She must be using some kind of... spell to pull your attention towards her. Please, do not give in to it. I beg of you, Alaric." He was also an elf. Our driver moved along, and once we were on the road and close to the forest, Aelfred lifted his hands and created a portal, which we crossed -SUV included—into the Elf Realm. The regular forest scenery changed into something magical. There were trees around us, but they were colorful and shimmering. The trees were not only green but also orange, pink, and yellow. I bit my lower lip; this place was beautiful.

James mused. "No! He didn't even touch her! I saw him take her soul!" "Did you see his face?" "No, he was wearing a black robe. But the aura... it felt somewhat akin to an elf."
