The Orphan's Goddess

The Orphan's Goddess

that the money lent by the orphanage was just enough to last for a month. Good thing that my orphanage had an educational program which helped me finish high school and this aided me to get a job easily at the inventory department of Lyla’s Café. I must admit that everything went smoothly, maybe I was truly lucky. However, I still wanted to have that space wherein I don't have to think about anything, but even though I do, I don't want to become an empty space which is who I am at the moment. My thoughts went to a halt when I heard a loud bang from a harshly closed door and when I traced as to where it came from I saw a young lady wearing a light, white cocktail dress with hair so soft as t

Frozen Heart (the Heart Series, book 2)

Frozen Heart (the Heart Series, book 2)

She took a few steps in an attempt to get closer to the couple when the room disappeared, and she flew across mountains, green hills, villages, and rivers until she was in front of the Royal Palace of Nordmar. The walls surrounding the Warrior Clan were almost entirely destroyed, and a battle was taking place between humans, Snow Elves, and the Orcs. The snow was red from the blood of those who gave their lives to protect the village against the invaders. The Orcs, some around 7’ tall or more, were everywhere. Short brown hair almost entirely covered their strong arms and legs. They had three sets of big fangs – two on the lower

Magnus: Dragon Prince

Magnus: Dragon Prince

Struggling to his feet and dusting himself off, Rex took the few seconds he had at the present while the orc was stunned to take in what his opponent was, he had not had enough time to process the transition from the area surrounded by bright lights and then the sudden darkness to center himself. Taking a deep breath in through his nose and exhaling out through his mouth to calm himself, he took a good look at his opponent, not having seen an orc before he was not really sure what he was looking at in terms of strengths and weaknesses, all he could see was the beast had black matted hair on its scalp, a broad forehead that was seeping green blood from the blow

This is actually a book! Most of the things I read on here have chapters consisting of 800 words or less This on the other hand has chapters that are 2k words on avg. plus the content is amazing. It could use a better editor cause there are a few gramatical errors, but overall, its my favorite book!

Very good world building, intriguing story, and decent characters. I'll be honest, I was just glad to find something on this app that wasn't smut. can't wait for more chapters, I've become very attached to the storyline and want to explore the world more.

The Fairy's Dragon Guardian

The Fairy's Dragon Guardian

The Fairy’s Dragon Guardian Chapter 36: Gorrum and the Olma Crystal’s POV Before entering the gates, Draven gave us a masking spell that would hide our smell from the orcs. Although they are known to be affectionate towards other creatures, they don’t have the same reaction towards immortals like us. Since orcs don’t have the ability to shapeshift and stay in their true form, almost all of the immortals despise them for their outward appearance. That is why orcs don’t feel that close to others. They like other animals more and treat them better.

The Exiled Dragon

The Exiled Dragon

I hummed, watching part of Orion’s army continue with their duties. At the corner of my eye, a person with green skin picked up a lifeless body to move to the others. He was tall, obviously green, with tusks protruding from his jaw. If I didn’t know any better, he looked just like an Orc from Dungeons and Dragons, except prettier? He didn’t strike my fancy, but I could see some human women might like him. “Creed,” I pulled his arm, pointing to the creature. “Who are they?”

I love Veronica’s all books but Creed is so, so special! I also love that there is no unnecessary cheating, tragedy, horror but is exciting, detailed, vibrant and show a lot of kindness and love between the characters. The villains always got what they deserve and the love always win!

My Seven Gorgeous Women

My Seven Gorgeous Women

After comparison, he knew that they were not beings of this world, or even this universe. "I tried searching through their minds and souls. They call themselves the Orck race. They have bear people and wolf people… They're made up of beasts and half-beasts. It seems they're coming here for Chase." Norm was a Supreme Elder of the Evil Shadow Sect, and he was very good at mind and soul techniques. He knew how to use the Soul Searching Technique well. However, the Orck warriors were too low-level. He could only obtain minimal information. When everyone heard that they were coming for Chase, it piqued their curiosity. Were they Cha

Ultimate Sorcerers

Amidst the flickering candlelight in her grand chamber, Constantine stood before a gathering of her fellow witches. The room was charged with an atmosphere of palpable tension, and the air seemed to thicken as she began to speak. "Witches of our coven," Constantine's voice rang out, commanding the attention of all who were present. Her eyes, gleaming with a newfound darkness, surveyed the assembly. "As your Supreme Sorcerer, I stand before you with grave news. A prophecy, one of ancient origins, threatens our existence."

RAGNAR - The Turtle of Gods

RAGNAR - The Turtle of Gods

The colossus had sprawled out and was in agony, breathing heavily. On impact, Ragnar was thrown violently and landed against big buckets set beside the wall. He had stood up, staggering and leaned against the wall. Blood was running profusely from his nose, trickling down his mouth and smearing his tunic. His forehead also bore a large bloody gash. The girl, who had come down from the large wooden plaque, had joined him and put her arm under his to support him and keep him from collapsing. The little hunchback made a small gesture of victory, raising his fist and frowning. He was muffling small sounds of pain and could not speak. The girl accompanied him to the huge disproportionate opening

She wasn't hurt. "Sebastian please step forward," Silva, the head of the council stated. She was the oldest council member and was dressed in white completely. Each member had their own signature colour and it is the colour of their eyes; Enits is blue while Heed is gold. All members are female, except for Dakel (silver) who is Heed's brother. "Morning Council." I greeted then sat down. "Mark please also sit." She smiled as Mark sat down next to me. The table was now completely full.

I just started the story, and I'm already feeling curious about who or even what Sebastian is! The personality of Jane might seems a lil aberrant when she can accept a strange stalker into her house, but that's what makes the start interesting.

I'm giving it an early review since I really want to read all the chapters of this book! I was stunned by how well Jane's backstory was made and how well the author makes me guess of who or what Sebastian really is. Development of the story is superb!300 characters for a review wasn't enough for me!

I picked up 'The Orc from the Office' thinking it was just a silly rom-com parody, but the plot actually has a surprising amount of heart. It's about a corporate accountant named Leo who accidentally summons an orc warrior, Gruk, through a weird artifact he buys online. Instead of battling, Gruk gets a temp job in Leo's office to understand this world, and they have to hide his identity while dealing with a rival company that's actually run by goblins using dark magic to sabotage them.

The central story is this bizarre fusion of mundane office politics and fantasy conflict. The goblin rivals are trying to steal a major client using cursed spreadsheets, literally. So the main drive is Leo and Gruk learning to work together, using Gruk's brute-force honesty and battle tactics against corporate espionage, while Leo teaches him about direct deposit and passive-aggressive emails. The romance between them is a very slow burn, mostly just charged glances over broken printers and shared frustration with the boss, until the third-act confrontation at the company retreat.

What stuck with me was how the fantasy elements weren't just wallpaper; the goblins' magic corrupts data and saps employee morale, making the conflict feel oddly real for anyone who's worked in a toxic environment. The plot wraps up with a literal boardroom brawl where Gruk throws a projector.
