Emma raised the key, its light forming a protective barrier that absorbed the strikes, but each one drained her energy. Crane stumbled, nearly falling as the ground shifted beneath him. “This storm isn’t just a barrier—it’s alive,” he said, his voice shaking. “It’s reacting to us.” “Then we push through,” Vivienne said, her tone fierce. She moved with precision, her dagger slicing through a tendril of energy that lunged toward them. “We’ve come too far to stop now.” Jamie swung his skateboard at another tendril, his movements more frantic but no less effective. “Yeah, well, tell that to whatever’s running this storm!”

**Hearts in the Storm** The storm outside rages on, mirroring the chaos within the cabin. Rain lashes against the windows, lightning occasionally illuminating the dark forest that surrounds them. Inside, tension simmers. Ethan, Sophia, Max, and Jason are all on edge, with danger looming just beyond the walls. The fire crackles, but its warmth does little to comfort them. As the gunshot echoes in the distance, fear tightens its grip on everyone, but it’s the weight of the secrets that has shattered the fragile trust between them.

They simply existed. Liora spent hours sitting on the flat stone in the center of the ruins, the place where she had found the journal. She held the book now, not reading it, just feeling its warmth. It was almost full. Their story was nearly written. She wondered how it would end. On the fourth morning, the weather broke. The grey sky unleashed a storm of sleet and freezing rain, turning the world into a miserable, slushy grey. It was the kind of weather that kept everyone indoors. For a little while, they were hidden by the storm itself.

AUGUST I tried to breathe the pain away. Ambrose’s kick wasn’t that powerful purely because I’ve received more kick from him and this was by far, the softest of them all. Despite of that, the kick still hit the bulls’ eye of my hollow stomach and I’m not even wearing anything to begin with. I had to flinch for a short moment but I tried not to show any signs of weakness. I centered my focal point at Ambrose and I instantly saw the upcoming storm named typhoon Ambrose. His glare was filled with so much intensity and that was more than enough for me to know that he’s about to go on a rampage.

The pack huddled together in their stronghold, terrified by the fury of the storm. As the storm raged, Fionn heard a howl in the wind. It was a howl like no other, a howl that spoke of power and darkness. The howl chilled Fionn to the bone, and he knew that this was no ordinary storm. This was a storm summoned by dark magic, and it threatened to destroy everything the pack had built. Fionn rallied the pack, and they fought back against the storm. They used their combined strength to hold back the raging wind and rain.

We laughed, we kissed, and we revealed the simple joys of being together in this picturesque paradise. But on the third day of our stay, a violent storm erupted, tearing through the island with unrelenting force. The winds howled, the rain poured down in torrents, and the once peaceful waves transformed into ferocious beasts crashing against the shore. We sought refuge in our villa, hoping that the storm would pass quickly. But as hours turned into days, it became clear that we were stranded, cut off from the outside world, and at the mercy of nature's fury. She had gone to the store to order food, however, she was told that there was no meal available and that the store has already closed down. Too bad, she was hungry and she doesn't have much strength to carry one. Nevertheless, Gabrielle didn't relent at all. The cloud is now clapping rambunctiously and the illuminated lightning bolt is zipping into the sky, the uncontrolled outbreak is a signal that the storm is about to drizzle soon. Gabrielle hurried towards the car and entered inside, she shut down the door fast then she steps on the gas, and speedily drove off. Seconds traveled into minutes and minutes into hours, and Gabrielle was feeling dejected and scared at the same time.

Storm’s pov I knew if I got pissed off, Aaro would stop telling me the truth, so I let her talk while inside of me a storm was raging. I wanted to go to the school and kill everyone who ever hurt Aaro. I wanted to destroy the entire school and get everyone out, but I knew I couldn’t.

I head back to our cabin just as the storm clouds can be seen over the tops of the trees. I quickly get inside the cabin and shut it up tight. I then sit down with Darius, Sandra and Edward around the fire, reading stories and keeping warm. I knew it was going to be bad as two days into the storm turned into a blizzard. Just as I finish putting Darius to bed, there was a knock on the door. I am surprised and look over at Edward and Sandra, as there isn’t anyone in their right mind from the village that would even consider being out in the weather outside.
