Rose POV As I entered the orphanage I was happy to see that the number of children here is below 10 that means many kids still have the love of their parents and a complete childhood. The place was in a really good condition with every kind of facility available. Soon I was greeted by the 2 caretakers they told me everything regarding the kids and orphanage and then called the kids for me to be able to meet them .

Maeve glanced back at the kids with pity. Sunny Orphanage is a small orphanage near the outskirts of the city. There are only thirty to forty kids around and not so many people are willing enough to make the effort to travel that far to check for some kids to adopt with that small number of selection. Children in this orphanage usually just grew up and took their own paths later on. Maeve glanced at the silent man behind her. Just like him. September's eyes kept on wandering around. Looking for something that would give him a feeling of familiarity.

Ashley's POV I walked over to the reading corner in the orphanage and picked up a brightly colored picture book. Its pages were filled with cute animals and simple drawings—the kind of content the kids could easily follow. I lowered myself onto the floor on the other side of the group. "Hey, kids," I said softly, a smile warming my voice. A few of them turned toward me. I opened the book and began reading in a relaxed, natural tone. "Once upon a time, there was a little bunny who absolutely loved carrots."

Back at the house, I carried the books Darren had ordered for the nursery upstairs and placed them on the newly assembled shelf. They were all hardcovers with soft pastel covers and gold-stamped lettering: Goodnight Moon, The Velveteen Rabbit, Where the Wild Things Are, Dream Big, Little One, I Am Enough. I traced the spine of each book with my fingertip, whispering the titles softly.
