The Outcast Theory

The Outcast Theory

Zara found her place card between Petra and an empty seat that turned out to belong to Ines, who arrived late and sat down with the expression of someone who had weighed the social consequences of absence and found them marginally worse than attendance. The Grand Hall was extraordinary in the way that places built by people with unlimited resources and a need to be remembered always were vaulted ceiling, long tables of dark wood, candlelight that was either genuinely atmospheric or a calculated aesthetic choice, probably both. The wolf students occupied the central tables. The five outcasts had been placed at a table near the left wall, close enough to the room's main event to be technically

The Making of a King

The Making of a King

KARINA POV "Outcast is amazing. The people are very understanding and everyone tries to work together. Of course, you have your occasional jerks. Not everyone who comes there is perfect, but I really had a great time living there. Chloe and I formed a strong bond," I explain as my parents beam while sitting on our tiny couch and Atticus studies me with an almost blank expression from the kitchen table. "That's wonderful, honey. We hoped you were getting to live a much better life," Mom says and Dad puts his arm over her shoulders.

The was a very enjoyable read. The story didn’t drag, didn’t go off in a thousand directions, didn’t try to introduce a million characters to drag the book out (like my 1st book on this app that’s still ongoing). This story makes me want to read all her stories. I highly recommend this book & author

Crimson Outcast

Crimson Outcast

The Alpha can feel the tether break when someone renounces his pack as he is connected to everyone within his pack. The humans here didn’t even notice me, that’s because this is a tourist town so people come and go all the time. With what cash I do have, I book a room at a hotel called Sunny Skies Inn. For the little bit of money I spent, this is not too bad. Queen size bed, a tub and a stand-up shower, balcony, and a pool. Downstairs they have a restaurant which I'll probably eat at tonight if the cost is low enough. I have to make my money stretch. Laying down, I fall asleep within an hour.

The OutCasts

The OutCasts

Seeing this, I leave. While walking through the dark hallways, I make my way back to my command center. Walking up the stairs, I stop and stand at the top where I can see all the monitors as they record everything happening in the city. As I check the monitors, I see the ones I have installed in the OutPost. “Strange,” I think, seeing the Outcasts all standing in a circle. They seem to be discussing something. “What’s going on?” I bring up my wrist and press a button on my remote controller. Activating the audio on my spy cameras, I listen in on the OutCasts.

From Outcast To Alpha's Queen

From Outcast To Alpha's Queen

Fred said, his playful tone dropping into something more serious. "I need them more!" Cassandra snapped. She felt a surge of protectiveness over her patient. "Your sister just came out of prison, and she’s developed a stress-rash. I need to formulate a new cream for her skin before it gets worse!" The playfulness vanished from Fred’s face instantly. He straightened up, his eyes widening. "W-What? Aubrey... was in prison?" Cassandra crossed her arms, her finger pointing accusingly at Fred’s chest. "So the rumors are true? You really treated her like an outcast in the BloodMoon Pack? You didn't even know?"

Out of Frame

Out of Frame

"I just want her to know she has no right to make a scene. She can lose me at any time." And I, in the next room, kept calling his name until the last of my strength was gone. Then I finally closed my eyes. Several hours later, Julian walked out of the studio fully dressed. Two men approached him. They looked satisfied and excited, scrolling through an auction livestream on a phone. "Incredible. That figure has to be at least a D." "Ha, when the auction starts, I'm buying one no matter what." Julian accidentally glanced at the phone. He rushed over and grabbed the man's collar, eyes bloodshot.

INSIDE OUT

INSIDE OUT

She began trying to heave Xavier. Baffled, Ajax started to speak but he grunted at the pain scarring his arm. Melinda held on tightly to his uninjured arm. "You're hurting. We need to get out of here fast." She flashed Guin an inpatient look as Lois volunteered to assist her with hefting Xavier up. When they reached them, Owen rolled his eyes. "It's important that he goes to prison. I prefer that." Guin panted as they moved. Ajax tried to move to help but Guin shook her head. "You're hurt."

The Outcast' by Sadie Jones is one of those books that lingers in your mind long after you've turned the last page. Set in post-WWII England, it follows Lewis Aldridge, a young man struggling to reintegrate into his stifling upper-middle-class community after a traumatic childhood event. The novel dives deep into themes of repression, grief, and the suffocating expectations of societal norms. Jones’ prose is achingly beautiful—every sentence feels weighted with unspoken emotions.

What really struck me was how Lewis’ silence becomes its own character. The way he internalizes pain, refusing to conform yet unable to escape, mirrors the era’s rigid social structures. The tension between him and his father, Gilbert, is heartbreaking—you can almost taste the unsaid words hanging in the air. And then there’s the town’s reaction to his return, a mix of pity and suspicion that feels so visceral. It’s less about plot twists and more about the quiet devastation of human connections fraying under pressure. If you’ve ever felt like an outsider, this book will resonate on a cellular level.
