Spirit Walker

Spirit Walker

“You’re all the same, always wanting what you can’t have. I guess that is the human nature I suppose.” “What do you mean by that?” The older woman laughed, “Oh. When I was young, I fell for a changeling.” She smiled fondly, “He was a great warrior, but he chose someone that would meet his pleasing and I wasn’t it.” Willow looked up to see the sadness from the young woman. “Don’t worry child, it was a long time ago.” “I guess I should work on what homework I needed to get done tonight.” Ava reached for her backpack and went to work. She knew within an hour her mother would be home from work.

His body did the same before he finally released an exaggerated sigh to begin. "Okay, there is no easy way to say this so I'll be blunt. We aren't cousins thankfully because we're blood-bonded mates and apparently supposed to end the war your grandfather started in 1917." Brayden rushed his words quickly so she couldn't stop him before he finished. When he finally brought himself to look at her Lilly was no longer mentally with him. Her eyes were no longer their beautiful emerald green color but charcoal black. The wavy auburn hair had turned to a bright almost orange fire red and her skin was extremely pale.

Then it was Cath’s turn to order, “One Smoked Apalachicola Oysters for Lyra and Paarmesan – Herb Angus for me.” “You and Lyra seemed like twin sisters.” Genevieve commented and Catherine, for some reason, wanted to make Genevieve go home. “Yeah, we saw you two earlier goofing around.” Jackson said and Klein nodded as well as some of the girls. Lyra thought that Catherine was like some Goddess for Mrs. Hernandez’s students. She was truly a role model for them and genuinely interested in making friends with her. She was seeing a new side of Catherine. “Also, you recommended her.” Ingrid added and everyone was looking at Catherine with eagerness hoping to tell the story behind that.

Gentleman Code

Gentleman Code

The lord took his gloves and a hat off and left them on the nearest small wooden hanger. Calum made a few steps in the room and stood in front of him. A smile creased Oliver's face and he put his glass down. "I see you've received my message." He didn't wait for an answer or a greeting and got up. He strode to where Callum was standing and buried his face in the lord's soft hair. He smelled like the cold and rain outside, but underneath it, Oliver could catch the faint musky cologne the Lord was wearing, mixed with tobacco and Callum's own scent.

The Moon's Descendant

The Moon's Descendant

I can’t help it. I dipped my fingers in the jar pulling out a dollop of the sticky brown goo. It smelt like mouldy tree bark and honey. I carefully smeared it over her eyebrow being sure not to get it in her eye. I then pulled down the rest of the bandages from her neck and smeared more on there. I slid my hand to the back of her head and very carefully lifted her up and holding her there. I pushed her hair out of the way and could immediately see large slash mark poking through the holes in her bandages. They shared similarities to the marks that Scottish fella from Outlander had on him. Multiple huge red gashes, already closing over but clearly only days old

The story is really good! The writer seemed to be learning how to tell the story from two perspectives. At first the author rewrote whole scenes but listened to readers and adapted it a little better. Still some time jump with perspective changes. Zelena has so many powers it seems a lil contrived.

This book was so well written! it caught my attention from the start and kept me hooked continuously! Some parts got confusing during the 2 POVs when something happened in 1 but not the other. If this was published on paper I'd buy it. What a fantastic read ! well done ! Im off to read part 2 ☺️

"Deal?" "Okay." I had said with a nod. Cyrus walked around me and toward the door, he paused and looked back at me. "Keep in mind that there could be others like us out there." He warned but his tone was calm like he knew what he was talking about. I gave another nod and waved goodbye. Ch 7

Black Rose

Black Rose

Chapter Two: SIGHTING Later that night, Rojean dolled up to go to a place that was both a nightclub and a bar that everyone was talking about. She was old enough, for sure, especially if she was going to get married soon. But she was never the kind of person to go out on the weekends, to a club or even a bar and always preferred the comfort of their apartment which Lucas didn’t mind at all even when he wanted to go out. She was in a cream coloured off shoulder dress which stopped mid-thigh and hugged her curves beautifully.

Lady of House Alba

Lady of House Alba

Jean came into the inn’s room where Ivar was finishing writing his report to his mother and bowed to him. “Your Excellency, I’ve found out the lady’s identity.” “So? Who is she?” What was her connection to the Heart? What was her connection to him? “The lady is the young miss Elena, from the house of Earl Valverde.” The secretary’s shoulders trembled, afraid of revealing some information that would piss off his young master. “Marquis Doria has arrived at the Count’s manor today, and it’s rumored that his intention is to ask for Miss Valverde’s hand in marriage.”

They were really going to swallow each other’s faces at that rate. Claire’s home was surrounded with different colorful flowers of different natures. It gave a certain cooling effect and feeling that made the area surrounding the flowers seem peaceful. Sebastian had earlier informed me that Claire’s family were florists and her mother sold them for a living. I made a note to buy some of the flowers on my way out. It was in the period of the year when the flowers were just blooming attracting numerous variegated butterflies around them. I realized that I had spent most of the time in my mansion no wonder these flowers and butterflies mesmerized me that much. “You like what you see?” a voice b

The Price Of Fate

The Price Of Fate

I did not explain that I had been with my Luna, celebrating her life, and that any one of them would have done the same if he had half my sense or twice my loyalty. I shut the door behind me and asked, very simply, “Why could this not wait until tomorrow?” The question was calm. The edge in it was not hidden. Roderick straightened slightly in his chair, already affronted by the fact that I had not greeted him with the sort of deference men like him started expecting after too many years of people humouring their age. Michael looked briefly at Josiah. Josiah said nothing. So Roderick answered first. “We could not wait because the Prima society informed us that Vandwood is harbouring an
