Romancing a Spinster

Romancing a Spinster

The stares didn't bother her anymore. There were different kinds of looks that she received, of course—the pitying kind, the disdainful (as if it was somehow her fault that her fiancé hadn't turned up at the altar), indifferent ones and then the worst kind were the ones that the men threw her way-the lustful glances. Ever since she'd been jilted, the gentlemen(who hardly deserved to be called that) thought that she'd be grateful for whatever attention that she received. Maybe the lewd gazes, she could get used to. But the suggestive caresses and inappropriate offers, she couldn't.

Rejected Love

Rejected Love

my dad said, I could feel his rage from here and I don't like that feeling so I just hung up. "Is it family again?" Amber asked sighing knowing the response "well I’m" I said trying to forget what happened a few minutes ago. I wore a knitted bear sweater, baggy jeans, and white sneakers. "Hey, studying the romance book by Arosh Tanjil, It’s good isn’t” a familiar voice said behind me, as I turned around I saw…Mattheo…I don’t know why I was expecting Xander. “You’ve read it before?” I asked as he nodded and my eyes widened a little “didn’t know boys read romance books” I murmured before continuing to read the book “hey I just wanted to say sorry for what happened on Sunday, I just don’t know

The Decadence of The Fallen

The Decadence of The Fallen

I heard many speeches and quotes throughout this day but as I stood in the middle of West Lane's function hall in my graduation gown, the one quote that kept playing in my head was a quote from a book that I read a long time ago. I'll tell you...what real love is. It is blind devotion, unquestioning self-humiliation, utter submission, trust and belief against yourself and against the whole world, giving up your whole heart and soul to someone who smites it. Charles Dickens pretty much sums up what it feels like when love is unrequited in Great Expectations and what it feels like to love you, Adrian. I didn't even see you at all today but you are the only one I kept thinking about. I know tha

MATES: REMNANTS OF A BETRAYED BOND

MATES: REMNANTS OF A BETRAYED BOND

-RAINA’S POV – Unrequited love. Unfortunate souls. A myth. Heard of it throughout generations and thought that it did not exist. How could the deity of all werewolves take my mate from me? Valen was my crush. There was not a day that my heart did not climax with love for him. Howbeit our bond was ludicrous. A laughable tale. A deep clawing pain wedge in my chest. The bond had us on two distinct plateaus with a massive cleft between us in the middle.

The Unwanted Lover

The Unwanted Lover

But, I stayed strong and buried my feelings for him away. Well, most of them. I still get blindly jealous when Allison even looks at Luke or speaks of him. I write down all my feelings in my notebook then set it back down on the side table that sits beside the hammock. I pick up a thick romance book then begin to read for the rest of the day, eventually falling asleep and spending the night in the garden. In the morning... I hear birds sing and a jolt of pain shoots up my back. This hammock really isn't that comfortable.

Capo's Obsession

Capo's Obsession

His gaze held a mixture of gratitude and something deeper, a sentiment he seldom revealed. As she continued to dress his wounds, the room seemed to shrink, narrowing down to the unspoken connection between them. Raina, in your writing, delves into the complexities of their romance. The physical act of dressing wounds serves as a metaphor for the healing they find in each other amid the chaos of their lives. Let the readers feel the emotional nuances, the uncharted territory of love in the shadows.

Claiming The Rejected Omega

Claiming The Rejected Omega

In the quiet embrace of the café, Aiden and Emily found themselves grappling with the intricacies of their unrequited love. Their eyes locked, conveying a depth of emotion that words alone could not capture. Each sip of coffee served as a poignant reminder of the bitter reality they faced. "Emily," Aiden began, his voice filled with a mix of resignation and tenderness, "we must confront the truth that our hearts belong elsewhere. To pursue a marriage based on such a fragile foundation would only lead to a lifetime of discontentment."

I read as far as chapter eight because there were too many grammar errors. The storyline sounds like it could be a great book, and your characters are good, but trying to make sense of the sentences is so distracting. It makes it really hard to understand and enjoy the book.

There are too many inconsistencies in storyline. Fir example, Emily is to proven guilty at the same time proven innocent by Chloe and her team. Max is the culprit then Max is helping Emily. Lucas is Emily brother, then Lucas is prosecuting Emily. It's really difficult to follow the story.

UNREQUITED DESIRE

UNREQUITED DESIRE

“I mean as in willing to see to my every desire…” “Most definitely not your type…” She was such a shit. “Look Tristan…” And the seriousness… “Trust me when I tell you that you don’t want me… Not in any way. I am not about what you are and you are not about what I am… Let’s just say we aren’t happening.” “I want to have you… At least once.” He admitted. “We can’t always get what we want…” Tristan was really unsure how to sway her. He knew for a fact that gifts were not going to work on her. He knew throwing money at her wasn’t going to go in his favour… Think Tristan…

he declared cupping my face with one hand. He tilted my head slightly upward and kissed me on the lips. I wanted to feel scared or disgusted, but his earlier words left my mind in such disarray that I couldn't decide how I should feel. Was this man truly so unloved that he had to buy someone to pretend to be his lover?

Love's Redemption: A Second Chance Affair

Love's Redemption: A Second Chance Affair

She knew excuses wouldn't work in front of someone who had once seen her obsession with the guy named Noah Sullivan. "If you don't want to answer, it's alright. I'm just asking it casually." Vivienne looked at Angelina and answered, "People don't just forget their first love. Especially the unrequited one. Because it becomes a scar that is always poked whenever a new person comes along in your life."

Frequently Asked Questions

I can't help but recommend 'Norwegian Wood' by Haruki Murakami. This novel is a haunting exploration of love, loss, and longing, with Toru's unreciprocated feelings for Naoko forming the emotional core. The melancholic tone and Murakami's lyrical prose make it unforgettable.

Another standout is 'The Remains of the Day' by Kazuo Ishiguro, where Stevens' unspoken love for Miss Kenton is buried beneath duty and repression. The subtlety of their interactions and the weight of unexpressed emotions are heartbreaking. For a more contemporary take, 'Call Me by Your Name' by André Aciman portrays Elio's intense, one-sided yearning for Oliver with raw vulnerability. These novels capture the agony and beauty of unrequited love in profoundly moving ways.
