The Wolf's Game
I am alone, walking away from the Jasper Pack lands, blood on my hands, my wolf silent forever.
Another future takes its place.
I kneel beside Kael’s body, screaming his name as the world collapses around us.
“No,” I gasp. “Stop.”
The Labyrinth does not stop.
It tightens its grip on me. The mirrors press closer, each one a blade of memory or possibility, cutting deeper with every step.
Then, everything stills, and only one mirror remains. It stands before me, clear, bright, and untouched.
I step toward it slowly, dread coiling tight in my gut, and watch as the reflection forms.
