Love At Sea

Love At Sea

The cover of the third book was a silent declaration of victory. Where the previous ones had carried dark and uncertain tones, this one displayed a watercolor in golds and deep blues—colors that evoked sunrises over the ocean, promises kept, and horizons that had finally revealed themselves within reach. The title, engraved in handwritten letters like an intimate confession, was simple and revolutionary: “To Live.”

Ablaze

Ablaze

Mains said, running his fingers over the cover where the text was, "this came from onbe of the crates from the old town hall storage. There are two more in the corner, I'm much too old to be lugging crates of books all arounmd the joint." I was halfway across the room before he could finish his sentence, gathering both heavy crates under my arms and shifting under their weight as I carried them over to our work bench. I slid one over to Mains and took on the task of sorting through the other myself, carefully piling papers and charts together. My fingers brushed along the bottery soft leather of the spine before my eyes had registered on it, and I pulled out the identical journal from my cra

The golden compromise

The golden compromise

I had never been inside a room like this in my life. Stone City didn't have rooms like this. Stone City had shops with paperback novels piled outside for five naira each. Worn covers. Missing pages. Stories that other people had already touched and left behind. This was something else entirely. I moved to the nearest shelf. Ran my finger along the spines without pulling anything out. Just reading the titles. Feeling the texture of the bindings. I stopped at one. A thin volume. Dark blue cover. No image. Just a title in faded gold letters.

his fingers trace idle patterns on her hip while he waits for her answer, content just to hold her like this while she relaxes against him. “Ohhh, a detective novel,” Harper said playfully and her gaze roamed over the book cover for the novel ‘The orphanage by the Lake’ by Daniel G. Miller. The title is written in large white capital letters at the top of the cover, where ‘ORPHANAGE’ and ‘LAKE’ appears in larger font. The centre of the cover features a large, old mansion situated directly beside a lake. The mansion appears symmetrical, with multiple windows and several chimneys rising from the roof. One or two windows glows with warm yellow light, standing out against the otherwise dark buil

Luna of the Menae

Luna of the Menae

There is no mate bond, but having him close makes me feel more secure. “I can’t wait for you to see this.” He rubs his thumb on the top of my hand as he leads me to a store. It’s rare Bronx gets so excited about surprising me. We approach a bookstore with a dusty, old window display. In gold paint, there is a picture of a pan flute and a goat. The images are peeling and sundried as if they’ve been there forever. Over the pictures are the words ‘The Barded Goat Used & Collectible Books’.

I am so glad we get for of Kas and Bronx and all their friends. The storytelling is exciting and the characters are complex and evolving. There is quite a cast of characters but the author does an amazing job of introducing them and only including necessary information so that you are not confused.

What a cliffhanger. You are an amazing writer. The series would make a highly rated movie. I would love it, only if they would let Neener Beener write the script. Others commented on the research and it's amazing. Does anyone know if this series is available in paperback? I need to buy 6 books.......

A Love on Paper

A Love on Paper

"What happened to your—" "Deal with the matter I brought up today quickly, Christopher," I cut him off, my expression neutral. "You were right about one thing, though—Roxanne's tactics are dirty." Without hesitation, I turned on my heel and walked away. Back in my room, I ran cold water over my ear. Fortunately, it was just a small scrape. When I checked my phone, I noticed a string of WhatsApp messages from Professor Tate. "Have you made a decision yet? Are you interested in joining this project?

The Ice Wolf

The Ice Wolf

She wandered up to one of the shelves and ran her fingers across the books worn spines; they smelled of dust and age. The books looked essential and historical. Nueva pulled a brow leather book from its neat row. The front cover had beautifully intricate designs etched into the aged skin, and a thin leather string locked the book's covers. She gently untied the knot and flicked through the aged yellow pages; Eira stirred inside her head. Nueva couldn't understand the language; it looked complicated and old, but the hand-drawn pictures drew her in.

I won’t try touching it again. Closing the box, I approached the shelves. I take out the book closest to me. Brushing off the dust, I realize it’s a strategy book, written in delicate penmanship. The paper is fragile, but the tome is bound with great care. The other side of the shelf seems to have hard-bound journals. It’s like an entire couple’s life secured in one small room. I heard a scraping sound, and I turned my head to see Robert picking up a stack of small portraits from one of the iron boxes in the corner.

Midnight Debt: Never His, Always His

Like it had been used not long ago. I slipped inside and closed the door behind me. The room smelled like old paper and dust. I turned on the small lamp on the reading table, low light, enough to see by. Third shelf from the bottom. I ran my fingers along the spines until I felt it, a thin journal. No title on the spine, tucked between two larger books like it had been placed there carefully rather than shelved. I pulled it out. The cover was dark green leather, worn soft at the corners. Someone had held this a lot. I carried it to the reading table and sat down and opened it.

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Into shelves. Rows and rows of them, stretching up out of the nothing, forming a jagged skyline of their own. They rose behind the city buildings, dwarfing them, then began to creep forward, swallowing alleys and plazas and carnival rides as they came. Pages whispered as they stacked—soft, overlapping murmurs of half‑formed sentences and old openings, like a thousand drafts clearing their throats. Each shelf was made of stone and paper and light, lined with books that had no titles on their spines, just faint scratches where letters were trying to form.
