The Alpha’s Penalty
The scent of him—Alpha, ice, and that dark, heavy musk—washed over me, instantly triggering the ache he had left behind.
He reached out, his fingers hooking under the knot of my scarf. I tried to pull away, but he was faster.
With one smooth move, he disentangled it, letting the silk flutter to the floor. He leaned down, his eyes fixated on the mark on my shoulder.
It was darker now, a deep, bruised red.
"Did your brother like my scent on you, little Omega?" he whispered, his breath hot against the mark. "Did he see my brand? Or did you spend the whole night lying to them, pretending you weren't still dripping for me?"
